Former President Donald Trump is expected to shoot down the idea of launching his own party to rival the GOP — and will “walk right up to the line” of announcing a 2024 run, without actually doing so.
According to a Suffolk Poll published last week, 46 percent of Republican voters would support a new party formed by Trump, while 27 percent remain undecided. Only 27 percent said that they would stick with the GOP over Trump.
However, an early excerpt from the CPAC speech obtained by Fox News says that he will not be starting a new party.

Anyone with half a brain could figure that out.
I agree with him but he needs to change his endorsements and people he trusts.
We need to alienate the RINOS and make THEM start their own party. Which will be a HUGE struggle because they don’t have a grassroots.
It’s a wise decision. We need to take over the Republican Party from local on up. Splitting our votes is foolish. The idea that all 75 million would follow is foolish.
That’s not news. President Trump has been giving clear indications for a while that the objective would be to not follow the hostile CEO takeover as in 2016 but to take actual grassroots support over the party and get real MAGA candidate in, not RINOs.
The so-called civil war is over without a shot. Even China Mitch is retreating and publicly saying he’d work again with President Trump.
This isn’t exactly breaking news.
“We need to take over the Republican Party from local on up.”
Correct!
This is because there has been a quiet civil war for control in the GOP over the lat few months
Trump won big and the dirt bags lost even bigger and are in capitulation.
no... it will be Trumps Republican Party, and we will use the primaries to get rid of the RINO’s.
Anyone arguing for 3rd party, is actually just trying to empower the democrats.
The only reason for a Republican to oppose DJT is to protect the swamp. Their opposition is a badge of corruption.
better to stay in the republican party...new party means 100 times more work. besides the bad fruit was mostly in DC and states like California and New York. the majority of the local state GOP is on board and want to get rid of the parasites’.
Why build from scratch when you can steal developed infrastructure from imbeciles...
the GOP will not get the turn out they did in 2020.
the base showed up in VAST numbers... and the GOP tossed them under the bus on Jan 6th.
the country is done unless something drastic happens
(a new party with an America First pledge would be drastic enough)
Yeah, they do have grassroots. Political hacks, appeasers, grifters, and many, many, if not all, democrats who exhibit the same characteristics.
That is fine, IF he says something along the lines of “we don’t need a third party, we need a second party,” then lays out a plan for doing that. This society is broken. Strong community and local leadership and even state leadership are going to be needed for what is coming.
I had been saying that we were about to enter into the world of the first Mad Max movie, but with cheap gasoline. Well, the price at the pump is going up up up ... So much for that theory. We are printing money at an outrageous pace. This whole thing is teetering on the brink. It won’t all collapse at once, or at the same rate everywhere, but it is collapsing before our very eyes. Buy ammo, if you can find it.
Primary everybody.
It would be too costly. At least $200 billion to set up and a good four or five election cycles to establish. Meanwhile, the Democrats would move quickly to make America a socialist nation.
It’s a wise decision. We need to take over the Republican Party from local on up. Splitting our votes is foolish. The idea that all 75 million would follow is foolish.
If anything the RINOs will split and form their own - or - just switch to the Donkeys.

Agreed. Ross Perot made populist run at the presidency back in 1992. Perot had a lot of good ideas. But all he did was split the conservative vote, and give us Bill Clinton.
