I truly can not comprehend how he is still in his position and not in jail.
There needs to be an investigation into his role. Whether it be purposefully or by neglect. But, either way - he was involved in GOF research when he should not have been.
In the mean time, at minimum - he should be suspended from his position.

I couldn’t handle the narrator’s snooty voice. Who says that the variants of the C-virus will keep their deadly character? You have to look at the defeat of the Ebola virus. The vaccine, rVSV-ZEBOV put the finishing blow to Ebola. However, like other viruses, Ebola can emerge again. We can understand that potential, just like polio that has paralysed children and there are outbreaks of Lassa Fever in Nigeria and the Nipah virus in India. Even measles has reared its ugly head. So, we must be realistic. The C-virus has the potential to re-emerge even after it appears to have been eliminated. If we keep on it, we can hope its successors lose their morbidity and become as harmless as the common cold.
One silver lining is this research on the biology of viruses will bring us closer to a cure for cancer.
