Dominion Voting Systems has filed a lawsuit against MyPillow CEO and vocal Donald Trump supporter Mike Lindell over his election fraud claims, saying “the lie sells pillows.”
Lindell is only the latest person to be legally targeted by Dominion over election fraud conspiracy theories. The company filed suit last month against Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, accusing him of pushing election conspiracies to “financially enrich himself.”
Dominion is now suing Lindell for defamation, seeking $1.3 billion in damages.
“MyPillow’s defamatory marketing campaign – with promo codes like ‘FightforTrump’, ‘45’, ‘Proof’, and ‘QAnon’ – has increased MyPillow sales by 30-40 percent and continues duping people into redirecting their election-lie outrage into pillow purchases,” the lawsuit claims.
Lindell fired back at the lawsuit and said “it’s been cancel culture for MyPillow” as his outspokenness has led to 22 retailers dropping his popular products from their stores.
Lindell has alleged the election was rigged in Joe Biden’s favor through Dominion and other voting software systems through not only interviews, but also a two-hour documentary titled ‘Absolute Proof’, which aired earlier this month. He was previously booted from Twitter for his refusal to back down on his election fraud beliefs.
“I’m very happy that they finally got that suit filed,” Lindell told CNBC of Dominion’s lawsuit. He previously invited one from the company multiple times and even to sue them earlier this month “for the American people” as a way to keep the discussion about alleged election fraud going.
“My message to Dominion is thank you for finally getting this done, because it’ll be back in the limelight now,” Lindell said.
Nice for Dominion to give everyone the promo codes.
Do they realize how badly this can backfire on them?
What “damages” are they claiming they suffered that need that kind of restitution?
Whaaaaaaaaa!
What disgruntled sissies these DVS freaks are.
Bring it! Can't wait for the discovery to spill out.
It would be hillarious if people started using “dominion” as their promo code, so it would be obvious how profitable the inevitable buy-cott becomes.
I’ve bought a dozen of his pillows now. And my daughter’s Christian school just bought 500 Chick Filet sandwiches for an event in March.
This is what we need to do. About every product.
One key word...discovery!!
Lindell Thinks that he can beat them with discovery. What he should have figured out by now is that the courts are all corrupt. They no longer represent justice. Good luck to him with that.
They can sue for $1.5T if they want. It comes down to jury massage and the judge’s mood.
If the massage has a happy ending it might influence the jury. But they would need all 12 happy endings and maybe 3 more for alternate jurors.
Yup. My prediction exactly. Dominion lawyers will be able to block all access to their machines and software, claiming proprietary business information, not available for scrutiny in court. These cases are all going to be determined in pre-court hearings on what is admissible or not. No way a judge is going to allow a defendant’s forensics team to sort through their software. No way. That is never going to happen. (unless the show was on the other foot of course). They will force them to defend themselves with evidence of “irregularities” which no matter how irregular, will not reach the burden of proof.
My guess is that after preliminary hearings in which it made clear to the defendants that Dominion forensic investigation is off the table, they will be forced to settle. Dominion and all the left will claim victory, and just more proof of safe and fair elections. There will be no actual discussion of the shield given to Dominion. Just a victory, that’s it.
Where we’ve come in just four years is truly astounding.
Yet, we’re not anywhere close to the end product yet.
You might want to rethink your support for Chick-fil-a.
That was proven by today’s Supreme Court ruling.
Mob justice is the only recourse when you cannot go to the courts.
And you cannot go to the courts if they refuse to give you a hearing or always defend those in power, which is what has happened with every election fraud case.
A judge can issue a protective order in a case like this to prohibit disclosure of any proprietary information. Of course, that would also mean that a lot of the information would never become public, but it is a way that Lindell’s attorneys could get at the machines’ inner workings for the purpose of defending against the claim.
Thanks.
Rd later.
I thought “corporations aren’t people” - so how can they sue for defamation?
I ordered the pajamas. They arrive Wednesday. I can’t wait!
disgusting. They also caved to the militant homosexual crowd. It was on my list of things to try...a chic-filet sandwich. Never had one; never will.
All Lindell has to do re the jury is to create “enough doubt” about the reliability of Dominion machines to defeat the lawsuit.
That is where real “DISCOVERY” comes in and if there is a Dominion IT whistleblower who comes in as one of his expert witnesses, the shit will hit the fan.
Lindell is a fighter, esp. after having to successfully fight his drugs/alcoholism demons, so Dominion is going to be up against someone who will take no prisoners.
Watch their stock, if they are public, and see if it begins to drop as the trial period starts.
