The left has got many other publishers to become the Thought Police so the conservative writers went to Baen Publishing. Knowing somewhere that somehow some people were guilty of not agreeing with them and even Publishing their impure thoughts has unleashed the left on this little outlying ghetto of Science Fiction culture.

None of the Baen authors *I* know are bowing down to the SJWs.
FYI: The Science Fiction annual convention (WorldCon) and the supporting organization; “The Science Fiction Writers of America” (SFWA) has ‘evolved’ (like food into garbage) from a fun fan-fest of authors and enthusiasts into a LEFT vision of overlordship. Social Justice Warrior (SJW) is far too mild of a term to apply here!
Past Grandmasters (Hugo & Nebula Awards) would be unwelcome and there are cancel culture moves to ‘strip’ their dead bodies of the same! The ones that I hear the most are Heinlein and John W Campbell (Astounding/Analog Editor).
Correia is as always his awesome self. I’d go buy more books, but I’ve got their monthly bundles already on order as far as the eye can see. I support Baen, not only for their great authors but also because they were strongly against DRM from the very beginning. I HATE DRM. If I want to read my books on whatever device I want, it’s my right to do so. Screw the big publishing houses.

REALLY SHORT VERSION: Some Leftist schmuck goes onto one section of one forum within the “Baen’s Bar,” takes some things out of context, then goes public on Patreon, and screams “THEY’RE A PLATFORM FOR INSURRECTION, GIVE ME MONEY.”
The Bar forum goes into temporary suspension, because the forums are connected to the rest of the publisher website, and if they Parler the forum, they take out the publisher site. Within MINUTES of said claims going public, there are multiple requests on Baen’s ISP. The Patreon article is used as “proof that they’re planning insurrection. Take them down!”
And no. The closest to “planning” that happens in the Bar are alternate history scenarios and war gaming.
I take one look at current scenario and think “This is defamation. And conspiracy. This is a coordinated attack designed to destroy a company. Can’t they sue the f***ers?”
