Five Capitol Police officers were suspended and 35 more are under investigation after the officers opened the doors and gates and allowed Trump supporters, and other activists, inside the US Capitol on January 6th.
One video from that day shows Capitol Hill police opening a gate to allow hundreds of protesters inside the US Capitol.
FOX 5 DC reported:
A spokesperson for the U.S. Capitol Police has confirmed to FOX 5 that the Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating the actions of 35 police officers on Jan. 6, the day of the riot at the Capitol, and suspended six officers with pay.
The statement from the department reads.
“Our Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating the actions of 35 police officers from that day. We currently have suspended six of those officers with pay. Acting Chief Yogananda Pittman has directed that any member of her department whose behavior is not in keeping with the Department’s Rules of Conduct will face appropriate discipline.”
Viral videos of some Capitol Police officers raise questions about their actions during the riot.
Some officers are seen standing along a doorway almost motionless as people file into the Capitol.
At least two accused rioters have told the FBI a Capitol Police officer told them, “It’s your house now.”

Gotta point the finger at Nancy.
But, of course ...
To bad they won’t live long enough to testify “I vas ust followink odors”.
But then again that excuse hasn’t verked since Nuremberg...
Of course they did. And now, what about the Capitol Police that escorted Antifa into the back foor of the Capitol building prior to allowing the MAGA people in?
It's Nancy and Mitch who should be under investigation.
Cops facing such a large crowd - and especially Capitol Police - DO NOT just open the gates and let crowds waltz in. They certainly received orders to do so.
Is it really that hard to figure out who ordered this???
Since they are suspended with pay, they’ll probably get a nice little vacation, then a bonus as long as they play along with the “discipline”.
Well gee, if they “let” those people in, it can hardly have been a violent insurrection, now could it?
And yeah, I realize that since most “journalists” have the integrity and/or IQ of a rotten turnip, they will never stop calling it an “insurrection.”
Exactly. There was no “insurrection” or plan to harm anyone.
I would say 95% of the protestors were thinking “Ok they’re letting us in, let’s go protest in the Capitol.”
Obviously that wasn’t universal and eventually there were efforts to expel protestors. But best I can tell they left peaceably.
The US Capitol belongs to the citizens of the United States of America. The Capitol Police have no business keeping any US citizen off the Capitol grounds as long as they are assembling peaceably.

Purge Is The Game and Communists Are The Olympic Champions!
Yup, and guess what Mitch know and Nancy know we know. They also know that we know the election was rigged...
In this age of the cell phones with their video cameras false flag operations are much more difficult to plan and carry out covertly. If not for the video evidence it would be a case of “he said, she said” and the word of law enforcement officers would likely be accepted before that of the defendants. What puzzles me is how did the planners expect to get away with it?
I think those police need to testify. There were two distinct groups. One that broke things and another that meandered through the hall, keeping within the ropes. They were not a problem, it was the peoples house and they learned by watching the Kavanaugh hearings that it was acceptable to watch these things and voice objections.
I think they were told to stand down.
If they were welcomed in charges ought to be dropped.
It’s no longer called Capitol Hill it’s now called “Fort Nancy”
