caww had a good idea for insulating windows with bubblewrap.

Perhaps caww could post it again here.

Probably even simple plastic sheeting, if you don't have, or can't get bubble wrap would even help hold in heat by covering windows with it. They use a kind of bubble wrap to even insulated the entire interior of metal buildings these days.

Btw, an ice storm took our our power, so this is coming to you via a small generator and using my cellphone as a hot spot for my laptop. :)

even better then bubble wrap is the closed cell packing foam. It still allows the light to come in and, if applied correctly, it won’t let moisture through to build on the window. Just spray a little bit of water on the window and rub it on. You don’t have the view but it save a huge amount of heat loss.
