It used to be possible to follow the allegations and cancellations. Remember when the cooking columnist Alison Roman lost her job at The New York Times because she criticized Chrissy Teigen? That sentence looks just as absurd now as it did then, but so could 10,000 others. And it’s hard to even remember if it happened last week or last month or last year.

I love her chunky and not training so yummy
Gross. She’s fat now, and looked way better back in the day.
Good article. Maybe I’ll subscribe to Ms. Weiss’s Substack next time I owe myself a reward.

The author’s headline referencing McCarthyism is an indicator she is either ignorant, lazy, or looking for hits.
I understand for someone of her age, she is using “McCarthyism” as a handy shortcut for the point she makes, but it irritates me to no end to hear people who are ostensibly conservative do the same thing the Left has done.
Joseph McCarthy was nothing like what the Left has painted him as. He was an American hero who should have been celebrated as someone who bought us a few more years free of outright and open communists meddling in our affairs, all run from Moscow.
Instead the left killed him by a thousand cuts for exposing their communist allies, murdered his memory, and salted the political ground so nothing would ever grow there again.
They enlisted the willing help of the Press, the Democrat party, the entertainment and education industries including K-12 through college, to make sure his name became a malediction and he could not be discussed in polite company into eternity.
It is the same thing they are trying to do to President Trump, and succeeding.
And it is what they are trying to do to us.
I find it tiresome.
