...Fifth-grade teacher Teresa Holmes posted a video of the cubicles set up for social distancing because of the coronavirus at her Forestbrook Elementary classroom in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Holmes addressed the video to Ken Richardson, the chair of the Horry County Schools Board of Education.
"I'm wondering, this is my classroom, I have a rather large classroom compared to the other classrooms in our building," she explained.
Holmes said she could expect 30 or 32 desks when all the children from virtual study are back in the classroom.
"So I'm just wondering, when we ordered this $5 million worth of plexiglass, did we have a classroom of 28 desks set up to where school board members could see in them and see what this was really going to be like?" she asked.
"Cuz I'm still trying to figure out, how, in between my classrooms, am I supposed to disinfect, how am I supposed to hear my students when they're in the back of the room wearing a mask behind all this plexiglass?" Holmes asked...

I wonder how many scientists studying covid wear reusable masks, plastic sneezeguards, and no gloves while in the lab?
This isn’t legit protection. And this from people who laughed at nuclear bomb drills. If you look at the low yield bombs in Japan, ANY shielding was better than none. And bunkering if you weren’t in the blast area also was better than simply sitting in you kitchen.
It’s like a camp, a camp that will help them concentrate.

My daughter has been in school 5 days a week since August. masks in common areas only (which is bad enough) but none in the classroom. No plexiglass either. They are doing well. Very few cases of covid in the large school and none transmitted at school that i know of. We need to get all kids back to school. Now.
Teachers want to get paid and not go back.
The. they should be fired with loss of pension plans.
Private schools have been in session all along. As for masks!? welcome to our world. I have not seen anyone advocating teachers wear face shields and gloves all day as some say

Yes the cubical makes it a lot easier to spread the carbon monoxide. to the students.

General Campus Reminders – Please keep in mind the following:
- All students and employees need to complete the Health Screening form at the front desk upon arrival.
- All students MUST have completed the COVID safety course prior to coming on campus.
- Vending machines are not to be used.
- Water bottles and food are forbidden from campus
- Student lounge is closed
- Faculty lounge is closed
- Online the single-use unisex bathroom is to be used, and sanitized after each use
- Green screen rooms and recording studios - maximum of 2 students at a time. Please book on Canvas
- Wall hand sanitizer dispensers are in most common areas and classrooms. Table top pumps are also located in several spots on campus.
- Face masks, gloves and face shields required to be worn on campus at all times and are available at the front desk, or you can bring your own.
- No more than 5 students (and 1 instructor) should be in a regular classroom at a time.
- If you notice wipes, hand sanitizer, etc. are needed in a certain location, please notify the front desk so it can be replaced as soon as possible.
We look forward to seeing everyone in-person again and welcoming you back on campus. Let’s remember to be patient with one another as this is still an uneasy time for many. Let’s work together to keep each other safe and healthy.

All that plexiglass is from . . . fossil fuel.
Better get those prison cells while they still can.
I seem to recall studies from the late 90s which found that those bombs had a lot more radiation than expected, which threw off the calculations for how much radiation it took to have various effects on people.
