I thought McConnell speech was good up until the point where he started discussing the constitutionality of the trial. McConnell said that Trump was morally and practically responsible for what happened on Jan. 6th, and I absolutely agree. What Trump did is unacceptable behavior for the anyone holding the highest office of our country. It is inconceivable to me how intelligent people, let alone conservatives, could fall for the obvious hucksterism of this over-privileged, self-absorbed, self-aggrandizing, amoral, sad excuse of a man.
