A lot of K9s have one or both of their canine teeth broken in the line of duty. So police have come up with the workaround of titanium implant replacements.
And there have been a few reports of suspects who had been willing to fight a K9 suddenly surrendering when they saw the shiny glint of titanium fangs.

The cop is a true professional: he remained completely calm and tried to defuse the situation before being struck and remained completely under control even after being struck.
If it had been me, I probably would have left the suspect on the ground cuffed with the dog chewing on him while I got some paperwork done.
