I visited the Tower in 2006 and 2007, and enjoyed both visits very much. One of the Warders we spoke to had guarded Rudolf Hess when he was in Spandau. There's a British TV series titled "Inside the Tower of London." The third season aired not long ago. I download British programs from a UK torrent website I've been a member of for many years. The first season of the series is supposed to be airing at some point on The Smithsonian Channel. They bought the rights to the first 8 part series. Here's a link to the article about it if you're interested:
Tracy Borman is an historian, and co-curator of Historic Royal Palaces. She did a three-part TV series recently, which was titled "The Fall of Anne Boleyn." According to her, the scaffold used for Anne's execution was set up in the area in front of the building where the Royal Crown Jewels are kept, and not over on the green where the actual memorial is.
If you do a video search for "Tracy Borman" or "The Fall of Anne Boleyn tv series," the three episodes are available for viewing on YouTube.
According to Ancestry.com, Anne is supposed to be my 1st cousin 14x removed.
It just occurred to me that I recall having heard or read somewhere that Rudolf Hess was imprisoned at the Tower for a short time. If that's true it's a very interesting tidbit indeed!
