I refuse to watch the impeachment trial as a matter of principle. To devote any attention to this charade would legitimize the corruption of our Constitution. Tuning in would be a tacit acceptance of the blizzard of BS that has buried the national discourse. At least since Donald Trump’s election in 2016, Democrats and their media allies have demanded that we view their smears and lies as high-minded pursuits of the truth. Consider:

mmm peach mints made of manure. where’s marxine?
While going to college I watched practically every minute of the Watergate hearings. I haven’t watched a single minute of either impeachment trial, because they were and are star chambers and show trials that ruin the honor of what should be the freest government in history.
Today, Michelle Obama and I agree on something: reading about the impeachment trial this week, I am ashamed to be an American. I hope that this is a temporary condition, but with few exceptions I do not see anyone in government authority changing my outlook anytime soon.
I have not watched any of the televised Congressional proceedings since the SALT ratification hearings... and ya know how long ago that was.
A crowd of idiots regurgitating what they THINK is relevant to the topic at hand, isn’t edifying on any level or any subject.
Repeating themselves ad nauseum and repeating each other like a bunch of self-important morons is just TOO MUCH for me, and I picked up on that within 4 minutes.
Those clowns in Congress are all infatuated with the sound of their own voices. That would be bad enough, if they actually had ANY credibility. But WITHOUT credibility, it can only appeal to clowns equally as stupid as stupid and self-important as our Congressional members.
The Constitution was killed by both parties when they knowingly swore in an ineligible Kenyan from Indonesia.
I was in a small cafe for lunch the other day and it was on. Volume was off or very very low. I did see the closed captioning for a few seconds.
Made me want to walk out. Very sick. Hard to accept our country is like this now.
There’s an impeachment?
I’m going to watch Trumps lawyers today.
I have not turned it on once.
Me either. It’s bad for my blood pressure. I have read a bit of reporting on it here and there, but the last thing I want to watch is a theater of hypocrites.
He is not going to be impeached and the democrats will move on to the next phase of “get Trump.” It is bad politics.
I’m not ashamed to be an American; the nation is much more than the government. I am sickened by nearly all of the current government, though, that I will admit.
A bunch of kangaroos holding court — RAT’s revenge for 2016. MAGA is now a curse.
It isn’t so much about Trump. He is just the form this particular terrorism is taking. He will survive, but America and Americans won’t.
This is about impeaching all Americans and killing our bill of rights.
We are all on trial. No exceptions will be made. Rank and file democrats supporting this who have been gaslighted will catch on way, way, too late.
You should have watched the last hour. The lawyers eviscerated the democrat senators and congress critters.
30 minutes of the speeches made with the word “fight”. From Bribem, Whorris, Sanders, Buttigeg, and I don’t think they missed one. It was great.
The examples of Dem perfidy are both apropos and illustrative, however, the conclusion is wrongheaded. It has long been known that familiarity with the ways of enemies is a precondition for successful engagement.
Yes, listening to their incessant idiot blather is an insulting and infuriating experience, but not required as a daily obligation. It’s times like today’s kabuki impeachment trial that inform and educate. Besides, it’s history in the making unfolding on national TV. The results have serious consequences for the nation. Are you really too fed up with Dem lies or GOP disingenusness to take the time?
