After getting rid of a worn out POS M16, I started carrying a duper. Since we were in triple canopy jungle most of the time, I walked 2nd in formation, the duper loaded with a shotgun shell round. It was quick to load with a grenade round if needed. It always worked, and it was devastating when the grenade round directly hit an enemy. I loved my M79.

Carried a Colt M16A1 in Vietnam. Same theory with dual use with the 203. 20 round capacity plus a little more fire power. The newer ones have 30. They actually replaced the M14’s in the late 60’s. A little heavy with the ammo, but came in handy a few times.

As I understand it, there were X number of “fun” rounds registered on the destructive device list with ATF, and the manufacturers have since bought up most of them.

It’s probably been 20 years since Cheaper than Dirt sold reusable 37mm reuseable brass cases and bulk flechettes. Seemed like it might be good for a few laughs.
