Multiple calls for a criminal investigation into Governor Andrew Cuomo have arisen following a bombshell report in which one of his top aides admitted in a conference call to Democrat lawmakers that the administration hid information on COVID nursing home deaths from federal investigators.
In August, the Department of Justice announced that they had requested information from New York regarding pandemic-related orders that might have led to the deaths of thousands of seniors in nursing homes.
The New York Democrat consistently painted the investigation as politically motivated.
But a stunning confession from Melissa DeRosa, secretary to the governor, seems to indicate Cuomo’s administration knew the feds were going to find questionable, if not criminal activity.

Agree he should be prosecuted but the word bombshell is right up there with racist nowadays.. means nothing.

At the same time Cuomo was sending people infected with the virus to nursing homes, the U.S. Navy hospital ship Comfort was in New York, ready to treat Covid patients. It had a 1,000 bed capacity, but sat nearly empty the entire time it was deployed there.
So who else knew, and who else ‘kept a lid on it’. I’m having a tough time believing that only a relative handful of those at the Lincoln Project, considering how long it was going on and how widespread it was. Did the media know? Did Fox News know? Hopefully some ‘Discovery’ may help here.
The ONE THING that I do like about the ‘Lincoln Project’ is that they collected nearly $100M (nearly all from Leftists) and managed to funnel about 90% of that to themselves. They’re all rich now and will stay that way as they’ll likely not get prosecuted*. In thinking about it, that may the reason the NY Times decided to take them down...make them pay for their scam.
*Think about it when you’re considering following Lin Wood again and ‘punishing the GOP’, as they now have their fortunes. If you vote to enable Democrats, you’re only punishing your kids and grandkids...as we see from the Georgia Senate runoffs.
It was mostly democrat governors who did this early on during corona. All hyperbole about democrats being evil aside, what is intrinsically different about democrats to want to send sick people into nursing homes without giving it a second thought?

I think they really thought they were being clever, but in a typical democrat way, in solving a problem. The problem was how to separate or sequester people sick with covid. Their “solution” was to force and require nursing homes to take them. I can hardly think of a better example democrat thinking than this. Pass a law (or executive order) that forces people and businesses to do things they wouldn’t want to do, all because you want a certain outcome, and you don’t respect peoples, freedoms, or their beliefs, or even their opinions... and in this case, their opinions would have been WHY ARE YOU PUTTING SICK PEOPLE IN NURSING HOMES WITH VULNERABLE PEOPLE?
A question like that, they would ignor, because the compulsion to force people to do it your way is greater.

The Department of Justice is more corrupt than Cuomo. These thieves for the moment need to stay united. Biden will soon send Cuomo tens of billions in “Covid relief” to butress Democratic hegemony in New York. You are correct. there will be no prosecutions of Cuomo as long as he remains on the Left reservation and adheres to the narrative.

I believe that there is a very weak case against Gov Cuomo for Depraved Indifference, Reckless Endangerment, Obstruction of Justice, or Manslaughter.
However, 18USC1001 Statements and Entries, fits well.
It reads:
Except as otherwise provided in this section, whoever, in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Government of the United States, knowingly and willfully—
(1)falsifies, conceals, or covers up by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact;
(2)makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation; or
(3)makes or uses any false writing or document knowing the same to contain any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry;
shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years.
It’s the aide that spilled the beans who’s going to suffer. Cuomo will toss that person right UNDER a large bus.
That sounds like a description of the House Inquisition Managers in President Trumps Inquisition.
Cuomo can use the $50 billion the Biden AdmIn is giving to bailout NY to pay his legal fees.
They have been doing that for decades. Ted Kennedy murders a young woman and the people of Mass. sentence him to Life in the senate without parole.
