Colin Kaepernick won’t be playing in Super Bowl LV, but the quarterback-turned-activist found another way to draw attention ahead of the big game.
Ben & Jerry’s unveiled last week a billboard and a mural featuring the NFL free agent in Old West Tampa, Florida, not far from Raymond James Stadium, where Super Bowl LV will be played Sunday evening.
The signage represents a not-so-subtle jab at the NFL from Kaepernick, who has not played since he opted out of the final year of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March 2017 following a season in which he gained fame for kneeling during the national anthem.

Anyone suprised?
What I am surprised about is that Colin Kardashian is still referred to as a free agent. It’s been 4 full seasons since he played; doesn’t he just become a former player at some point, or is there some official agency that registers free agents?
Horton hear a........sphincter?
If he were on the right side, he'd still be playing football. You need to ask yourself why no NFL team would touch him with a 10' pole. On a similar note, Antifa and BML are little more than a bunch of thugs with a slogan.
What has Kaepernick ever done? I think he was something like 1-15 in his last season. He sucked.
I do wish Brady well later today - though I won't be watching.
If I were writing this, I'd regard it as a proper time to use 'infamy' rather than 'fame'.
As a resident of this area, I can say that no one ever refers to 'Old West Tampa'. West Tampa is an area of very mixed neighborhoods, ranging from Cuban to Italian to Black to German to Spanish etc. There were many cigar factories there from the late 1800s to after WW2. Lots of good eating back when I lived in the city, now(?), who knows!
Time is on the NFL’s side. This loser will age to the point that becoming a quarterback is no longer an option. Hopefully we can then all forget about him and his non-existent NFL prospects.
So what?
The Snowflake Bowl is like 90 Day Fiance.
I don’t pay attention to either.
The nfl let Ray Lewis keep playing.
How many wife abusers, girlfriend abusers, drug abusers, etc are playing in the NFL....and why? because they can deliver on Sunday.
LOL, the World's Greatest Affirmative Action Failure "Taunts" the NFL by licking Ben and Jerry.
Kaepernick, you are SO done, over, finito.
He’s taunting? He’s a failure. He’s the one out of the game. He can’t even make a practice squad.’
Have some more ice cream, K.
Kaepernick is obviously not aware of the old adage that a$$holes are useful for their intended purpose but worthless otherwise.
"Huey Percy Newton (February 17, 1942 August 22, 1989) was an African-American political activist and revolutionary who, along with Bobby Seale, co-founded the Black Panther Party in 1966. He continued to pursue an education, eventually earning a Ph.D. in social philosophy.[1][2] In 1989 he was shot and killed in Oakland, California. ..."
"As a student at Merritt College in Oakland, Newton became involved in politics in the Bay Area. He joined the Afro-American Association (AAA), became a prominent member of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, Beta Tau chapter; and played a role in getting the first African-American history course adopted as part of the college's curriculum.
He read the works of Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Frantz Fanon, Malcolm X, Mao Zedong, Émile Durkheim, and Che Guevara.
During his time at Merritt College, he met Bobby Seale, and the two organized the Black Panther Party for Self Defense in October 1966.[3]"

[1960s/original] Black Panther Party [BPP] Archives
From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROES
"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey [Newton] rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo [the police].
Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.
The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."
To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

Below are the names and photos of 35 Police Officers who were murdered by the Black Panthers and the subsequent Black Liberation Army in the 60s, 70s and 80s [click link for list and details].
The Black Liberation Army was an organization that grew out of the Black Panther Party, composed of former Black Panther Party members, operating from about 1971-1980. Another two police officers on the list were murdered by the Weather Underground, a domestic terrorist group with ties to the Black Liberation Army.
Despite this readily available information, today the internet was full of articles criticizing those who were upset by Beyonces Super Bowl Halftime performance, and questioning how anyone could be upset over a woman affirming her blackness. Their analysis couldnt have been more off.
We have no issues with someone affirming their blackness or any other identity they want to affirm. We do take issue when people pay homage to a group that used terrorism and violence to promote racism and revolutionary socialism a group that murdered dozens of police officers in cold blood.
As you scroll through the list of officers below, look at their photos and read their stories. Among these officers are black men and white men. Rookies and veterans from across the country. Most were killed in unprovoked attacks and ambushes. They all left behind families .
Perhaps Beyonce, someone from the NFL, and someone representing CBS, could read through this list and tell us if they still stand by their decision to honor the Black Panthers during the Super Bowl. Then perhaps they could explain their answers to the surviving wives and children of these fallen officers. ...

With the 49ers visiting the Dolphins this week, San Francisco's Colin Kaepernick engaged in a conference call with members of the South Florida media. However, one reporter wanted to discuss something that happened in August, when Kaepernick wore a shirt that appeared to show support for Fidel Castro, which led to a tense exchange.
The shirt depicted scenes from a 1960 meeting between Castro and Malcolm X, and it bore the phrase, Like minds think alike. Kaepernick wore it to a news conference after the 49ers third preseason game, which was when his refusal to stand during the national anthem became a major national story.

The August evening the nation first noticed Colin Kaepernick taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem at an NFL game, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback held a postgame news conference, as is typical league policy.
At that news conference Kaepernick wore a T-shirt emblazoned with photos from a 1960 meeting between Malcolm X and Fidel Castro.
So after his first notable protest against what last week he called the systematic oppression of minorities in the United States, and saying he wants freedom for all people, Colin Kaepernick put on a T-shirt that featured a supportive image of one of the 20th centurys most enduring oppressors.
This absurd contradiction between what Kaepernick said and does was only a distant annoyance to me because, although I was born into Cubas imprisonment, I dont often write about Kaepernick or his team.
I haven’t bought BJ’s ice cream for at least 10 years.
Let me think of all the "liberal" NFL teams. How about Seattle Seahawks? I was going to say S.F. 49ers but Colin Kaepernick used to play there so he had already wore out his welcome with that team.
Maybe Colin has been in Jerry’s.
Remember like 2-3 years ago the NFL set up a special event for him a come back demo at the Falcons training facility? NFL team scouts, coaches were coming to evaluate his present talent levels and skills. On that day one hour before the scheduled event Kraperfink informs the venue that he’s not attending that event but will be holding it at an area high school location. Many of the scouts and coaches decided to skip that snub and returned home. Only a few went to his alternate event. Krap stated he was suspicious the NFL would somehow sabotage him at the scheduled event. This jerk Kraperfink wasted the time and resources of the teams to attend only for him to sabotage them instead. Is there a bigger, more ungrateful loser than Krap? Yet he’s a multimillionaire here in his ‘racist’ USA. What a piece of leftist work he is.
