Amidst all the pre-holiday jockeying over an economic “stimulus” package, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released a little-noticed report with big implications. More than 18 months after CBO issued a publication on single-payer health care with very little specificity, last month the budget analysts published a 200-plus page report giving more detail about the potential impact of a move to a government-run health system.
Joe Biden claims his administration will not implement a single-payer plan, even though his vice president and Health and Human Services secretary-designate both support the concept. Regardless, CBO’s work provides important context about Democratic health-care proposals, including the end goal for most on the left: a full government takeover of health care.

When socialized medicine hits believe the rationing. Over 65 you’ll get little. Working people will be means tested. The rich will go black market. And the disenfranchised will be first in line.

May as well. The system is so broken from obamacare. I am still waiting for those big saving. Instead my county has a total of ONE insurer and my premium doubled from last year and they eliminated the catastrophic plans that were briefly available. So between premiums and deductibles it is over 14,000 a year. I am self employed and no covid relief for me for shuttering most of my business. Needles to say I am not bothering with obamacare. and just pay cash. YAY DEMOCRATS.

And our current system means the insurance company can ban you from receiving healthcare, or at least paying for it, if they don't like you.
Every healthcare scheme is rationed. The question is who does the rationing?
And the answer is always the party paying. That can be the government, the insurance company or the consumer, but ultimately each will be unwilling or unable to keep paying.
