If you’re not allowed to have a conscience or disagree with the voice from the ether without absolutely having to suffer total social and economic destruction you don’t live in a free society. Mr. Wallen made a decision to exercise his free speech and voice his opinion and that moment was recorded. The person who recorded him also exercised their free speech by making the video public.
All the entities from his label to radio stations are answering to the consumer, but in the end, they are all exercising their freedom to disassociate themselves with Mr. Wallen.
His fate is not far from that of the Dixie Chicks. They expressed an unpopular opinion and the market reacted.
The Dixie Chicks ruined themselves as country music artists and now Mr. Wallen has ruined his own career. It was his choice.
And everyone still has their freedom of speech.
Sam Clemens would not be free to be Mark Twain today. Period. A hundred and twenty years ago he was free to be Mark Twain even though many or most at the top of society disliked or outright despised him and enveighed and railed against him.

He had no expectation of privacy.

He was not in his house, he was outside and the person who shot the video was either on his own property or on a public street or sidewalk.
