Etymologically narcissism and narcotics have a common origin thousands of years ago.
Narcisissus got drunk with self-love so delirious that it killed him.
Narcotics are mind altering substances that can be so damaging that they are illegal.
Is there anything more narcissistic than terminating life within you as a method of contraception? (NB some terminations are like this. Not all of them. The decision to terminate is not always narcissism.)
How is spending money you dont have and thereby crippling future generations with debt anything other narcissim?
Some people like to slam Donald Trump as an alleged narcissist.
There is no doubt he has a strong personality, strong self-confidence and an ego to match.
You don’t come down a golden elevator to enter politics in your late sixties and defeat a seasoned political machine like The Clintons by being self-effacing.
But which “narcissism” should we fear most:
A. Passionate love of America? Or ……..
B. AOC?
Imagine the calamity she would present in a psychologist’s office.
