The movie “Fury” was as accurate as they could make it, consulting as many surviving WWII tankers as they could find. My first duty station was in a HQ unit at Patton’s beloved 2nd Armored Division which performed miracles under his leadership. 1984 saw the refinement of the M1 Abrams and the debut of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Thank you President Reagan, it was an honor to be with you winning the Cold War.
They stole my name I had here for 20 years
They suck for that
One of my dad’s Pentagon assignments was the MBT-70 project. This was a main battle tank intended to replace the M60. The MBT-70 never went into production but a lot of its technology found its way into the M1 Abrams.
