A co-worker years ago, went to China to adopt a child
(who was half white) because she was a Chinese citizen, rather than adopt locally, a USA born full Chinese child.
That co-worker was born in Hong Kong, so he was also a Chinese national.

All rulers through the course of history have sought to write their names in bold in the history books by acquiring land. Europe, from Germany on to the Atlantic (excepting that Ottoman remnant, Turkey) gave up this pursuit after the carnage of two world wars. How long this change of heart endures among Europe’s elites is for future generations to discover.
China’s Xi Jinping apparently believes that his time in the sun is now. I doubt we’ll see the kind of overweening ambition displayed by the Axis powers during WWII, when they attempted to overrun entire continents in one go. The Chinese way is the incremental advance, principally because of the Axis example, as well as the fact that prior Chinese regimes that pushed too far came to grief very quickly. Probably the most notorious example is that of the First Emperor, whose regime fell apart immediately after he died.

The good news is the CCP needs us as a prime customer, trainer of new engineers/scientists, as a pipeline for new technology, as a trading partner and as an ally.
If we are not a military threat to them and can help fund & cover/hide their aggression around the world. They and Susan Rice will just control us not bomb us.
The bad news is: They will daily, control more of our lives, during and post Dr. Pepper Jill Biden, Willie Brown’s Hoe and of course Deep State’s and Obama’s Susan Rice.
