President Biden is moving forward with setting up a commission to study Supreme Court reforms which could, according to the Daily Mail, lead the way to ‘court-packing.’
Biden repeatedly refused to state his position on court-packing during his campaign but did vow to set up a commission to study judiciary reforms.
“The President remains committed to an expert study of the role and debate over reform of the court and will have more to say in the coming weeks,” a White House official told Fox News.
Politico reports that Biden has already begun naming people to the commission.
They note that two individuals have been chosen to co-chair the commission – Bob Bauer, who was Biden campaign’s lawyer, and Caroline Fredrickson, who “has hinted that she is intellectually supportive of ideas like court expansion.”
“The commission,” Fox News relays, “was Biden’s response to progressive demands to expand the number of justices on the Supreme Court to overcome the 6-3 conservative majority, a practice known as ‘court-packing.'”

Packing the Supreme Court would be extremely foolish and short-sighted. If the Democrats were to add 2 or 3 justices to the court, what would stop the Republican from adding 100 next time they’re in power, then declaring membership in the Democratic party illegal?
The escalation would be inevitable and lead to tragic outcomes.

Biden just does what he’s told. He didn’t get the nomination on his own. It was stolen from Bernie, just like the general election was stolen from President Trump. Biden is just a puppet controlled by the billionaire oligarchs that control the DNC and steered the nomination his way.
I was interesting how Biden went from a total write-off in the media to the presumptive Democrat nominee in 10 days.
They don’t need manchins vote, all they need to do is promise collins, romney and murkowski positions of prominence on comittees

This is going nowhere. That’s why Biden is setting up a commission. A commission is the equivalent to the ending scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Even FDR got slapped down for court-packing. <P
Just more proof that Democrats can never pass their agenda through the proper legislative process. All of Biden’s agenda will be done through EOs, the courts, or the department bureaucrats.
And we are supposed to believe that the election was decided because the black caucus was brought on board by one caucus member.

Maybe he’s hoping for something like the “switch in time that saved nine” that supposedly occurred after FDR’s proposal.
