Today, State Representative Kyle Biedermann’s legislation that would give the people of Texas a chance to vote on Texas becoming an independent, self-governing nation became official.
The “Let Texas Vote” act would give Texans an opportunity to head to the polls in November of 2021 and start the process of reasserting our status as an independent nation. If the people vote in favor, the bill provides for the establishment of a committee to begin working on a transitional plan which would address all of the issues related to decoupling from the federal government.
This bill is simply to put the question to the people of Texas. Even if legislators don’t personally support TEXIT, at a minimum they should support your right to publicly debate and vote on the issue. Your representatives either believe that you are smart and responsible enough to make this decision or they believe that they know what’s best for you regardless of what you think. There is no middle ground.
We need you to call your State Representative and let them know that you are a constituent and you expect them to sign on to HB 1359 as a co-author. Let them know that this will be a voting issue for you in the 2022 election.
If you don’t know your State Representative you can map your legislative district at this link.
TexAZit........You ‘In” NM?
I have very fond memories of playing the Scottish Highland pipes at an ice house in Helotes. i was suprised that the latinos and the local cowboys both loved the pipes. I can go back anytime, they almost didn’t let me go.Had to do some fast talkin’
I love the place.
Given their recent voting record, do you really want them?
I’m guessing about 40 Red States vs. about 10 Blue States. The Socialist’s power bases are in largest cities.
Can anyone tell me if Texas were to succede would Social Security and Medicare cease from the gooberment?
>>How much of the federal spending fell on Texas? If none, Texas could be free and clear of all obligations.<<
Here in Texas, we actually have a rainy day fund to the tune of ten billion.
We have the 10th largest economy in the world...greater than Russia.
We supply a third of the nations peto-chemicals. Two huge ports, one of which by tonnage is the nations 2nd largest and per foreign tonnage...one of the busiest in the world.
We have oil, natural gas, millions of acres of fertile farm / ranch land.
Diversified economy from ag. to tech to tourism...you name it.
I’m thinking on a national stand point...Texas has more than pulled it’s weight.
Now you know why I thank God I was Texas born, Texas bred and when I die I’ll be Texas dead! I love TEXAS!!!
I've never seen anything like it.
>>Can anyone tell me if Texas were to succeed would Social Security and Medicare cease from the gooberment?<<
Lol..well I could pretty much say for certain, you won’t getta check from the federals.
Hell, we’ll be lucky if we aren’t defending our borders from attack.
Brother in N.M. said they was hornswoggled same as us in AZ.
GD media did the electing, and then counted it
m.
I couldn’t agree more
Since if the vote passes, a committee is formed.
It doesn’t sound like it’s binding but still quite interesting.
Go for it!
