To see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle,’ George Orwell famously observed. He was talking not about everyday life but about politics, where it is ‘quite easy for the part to be greater than the whole or for two objects to be in the same place simultaneously’. For years before the 2020 election, nearly all American conservatives were in favor of standing up to Big Tech — but most were also against changing the laws and regulations enough to make such a stand effective. And yet the threat from Silicon Valley was literally in front of our noses, day and night: on our cell phones, our tablets and our laptops.

The Silicon Valley Gestapo is just about to lose its power. They just don’t know it yet.
The Chinese know how to put them in their place.
The EU has plans.
The Gestapo on the Potomac is smacking heads big time.
Our Bolsheviks will teach the true meaning of communism in Silicon Valley too.
I lived in the Silicon Valley for twenty years. I also belonged to a church and participated in a small group Bible study with some retired movers and shakers of Big Tech. We found our values and those of the Valley have never been farther apart. Many of us have decided to move away from the insanity.
How do you figure?
They’re going to be essential to the new social control apparatus that the commies are busy instituting as we speak.
They’ll glady get banned in every country in the world in order to consolidate their power in the US and help transition us to totalitarianism. Nothing else matters except that, because the USA is the last country that could put up any significant resistance to the “master plan”.
Um, no.
Almost all their growth over the next 10 years are going to come from outside the US.
Growth in revenues and especially profits equals increases in stock rice.
No growth equals sharp falls in stock price.
Remember when Microsoft share price flat lined and then fell by half over a 10 year period? The only thing that keeps these US tech giants going is huge profits and huge market caps. Take that away and take away their growth and power in places like India and they are done.

Plus, viewed through the eyes of history, this is the way any anti-trust action commences: first, you have the trust who is able to grow, then you have the people being hurt by the trust slowly gather evidence, THEN the regulators act. It was true for Standard Oil, it was true for Your Phone Company. And now it's the Tech Monoliths' turn.
Ah, I see you’re still under the impression that dogmatic leftists who own/run these companies are motivated primarily by profit.
Nothing I can say to you will matter until you’ve discovered that isn’t true.
But that was because Big (US) Tech was not doing enough to support the CCP. Different reasoning altogether.
Of course they love their lifestyle, but they do not care about the dictates of the market. They intend to dictate TO the market, by forging a fascistic alliance with the one party state, as it is in China.
If they cared more about the short term profits of their companies rather than their ideological goals, then “get woke, go broke” would not just be a running joke amongst conservatives, it would be a corporate mantra, but of course, it is not.
