Cesar Chavez was a farm worker advocate. not an illegal alien activist. He called Mexicans WETBACKS
I grew up in the small ag town where Cesar Chavez started the United Farmworkers. Their office was right on Main St a few doors down from the walk in theatre we went to every Saturday. We’d spend all day in the theatre and leave in time to report in to the parents..they worked at a bar on Main St on the way home....but we’d always stop in at the Farmworkers office for a penny candy. They kept a bowl of candy on the counter for kids.
