Anyone claiming to be part of the Republican Party is claiming to be part of a corpse.
Of course, the Demonicrat Party is the hull-crushing abyss of lying, murdering treason.
I can’t imagine this “secret ballot” would work how they intended as it would require all of the nays to keep quiet about their acquittal vote. Can you imagine keeping quiet about your decision to kill this sham trial?
The fact that they would try this is quintessentially on-brand for The Stupid Party though.

The democrats and bureaucrats have tried for four years to criminalize political differences and now that they have all the power they are going to wield it with brute force.
In a contrarian way, I hope they go through with this. Trump should show the video of his comments and play a non-stop reel of videos of Pelosi and other democrats reaction to Antifa/BLM storming the White House and engaging in riots last year.
They will further energize Trump’s base, identify the feckless RINO’s, and in the end they will not have the votes to convict.
P.S. - this is a farce just like the impeachment last year was.

I agree. If they agree to a secret vote, I do not care how they vote.
The GOP is playing with political suicide. They want Trump out but his MAGA voters go with him.
If they do a secret vote than people should make it clear that any CONVICT votes will be assumed to be from THEIR senator and they will be fired for it. Mitt Romney could be the only one to vote to convict and in a secret ballot I’ll assume that it came from every single one of them and primary them all.

The GOP is so dead to us we revoked our voter registration. No sense voting GOP or giving legitimacy to the communist ballot fraud that stole a 410 electoral vote from Trump and We the People.

This is a constitutional republic. The whole point is that we know what they do so we can know who to vote for - or against - to represent us.
A secret vote violates the whole purpose of the system.
There are no secret ballots in this country....except by the people.
If the vote is 51-49, then we will assume the one Republican was Romney (and he will probably be quick to say it was his vote), but if more than 51, then all Republicans are under suspicion. Those not planning to retire at the end of their current term must realize that.
