Roberts may do what you suggest, but not because of his integrity. He may do so only to keep Trump from having a venue to show the evidence he has amassed in the election fraud of 6 states.

45% of the nation already thinks the election was stolen, Biden does not need that percentage swelling into the 60’s or 70’s.

As presiding judge - under the Constitution - he should just dismiss for lack of constitutionality.

There is of course the view that the duties of a presiding official created under the Constitution is empty and ceremonial, it being the nature of our founding fathers to waste their time endlessly creating ceremonial positions that have no power or authority.
