After descending the marble steps of the White House’s South Portico for his final time as president, Donald Trump couldn’t help himself. He stopped to chat with the press before lifting off aboard Marine One for his final farewell ceremony and unknown next chapter.

Clad in his trademark scarlet tie and black topcoat, Trump was far more subdued and succinct than usual as he addressed the bevy of reporters he had demonized daily as the “enemy of the people,” “a disgrace” and “fake news.”

An accurate description of the media. For the next 4 years they will add “slobbering sycophants”.

The Einsteins who insist on holding an impeachment "trial" in the Senate ought to recall the old adage "let sleeping dogs sleep." Instead, they are about to shove President Trump right back onto the national stage.

Biden may have been looking forward to a "honeymoon" during which the American people can get to know him and he can begin to implement his agenda. But an impeachment "trial" will generate a vigorous opposition movement and bring out the crowds of angry MAGA hat-wearing demonstrators waving Trump flags.

Any impeachment trial of Donald Trump in the Senate should be rejected by the Chief Justice, who would be presiding judge, as unconstitutional. But based on past rulings, John Roberts will happily preside over the clown kangaroo court.

Trump has 2 plays left.

Quo Warranto to actively attack the election results.

Website with petitions to change election laws for all states to include a public referendum of election law changes that replaces a Governor’s signature; limitations on mail-in ballots; adoption of Federal recommendations to prevent access to the internet by voting machines, purging of voter registration before an election is scheduled, etc. We the People can download the petitions for circulation and submission to the individual states.

Has PDJT posted on any social media, since yesterday?

I am only on Gab (which has been wonky), so I have no idea.

John Roberts salient feature is his prediliction to dodge. My prediction he’ll dodge any impeachment trial. The Dems will be reduced to holding some kind of “hearings”.

Biden’s honeymoon will last about as long as his short-term memory.

I hope you are right. But based on his past actions, John Roberts will welcome the opportunity to preside over a “trial” that finds DJT guilty.

Personally I expect DJ Trump back around the end of March if things go well.

The only conclusion that I can accept as having met all the facts s that the Democrats are terrified of Donald J. Trump. Nothing else makes any sense at all. Even TDS doesn’t cover it, and for all the many reasons that have been described on this post.

I believe the Chief Justice is only required to preside over the trial of a sitting President.

Since DJT is a former President, it appears all bets are off.
