I am absolutely convinced he was naive. He failed in every single federal law enforcement appointment. Every single one.
If the battlegrounds were known by the Dems, they were known by the RNC. A Joint Task Force for election integrity could have stopped it.
In the end, he got learnt.
I want to think you're wrong, but fear you're right.
The mindset which thinks you might be wrong begins with a longer view of history -- what's really going to happen over the next four years?
Will there be events which expose the Democrats as frauds & shysters leading to strong Republican victories in 2022 & 2024?
Will that make a Trump reelection in 2024 possible?
If so, then things could work out for the best, long term.
Or not... if Democrats can open the flood-gates to illegal citizenship and fraudulent voting, we could be in for serious Dark Ages.
But I'm a natural optimist...
