They would not have released the virus in their own city intentionally. The PRC officials are not nice people but they are not comic book psychopaths. It also is not deadly enough to be a bioweapon. It was sloppy handling, and stupidity, combined with a secretive regime that depends upon infallibility to maintain it’s legitimacy.
China has been, and continues to be not really hard. Harder than we have due to lower hygiene standards.

I meant to say: China HAS BEEN HIT and continues to be hit really hard by this virus. Millions have dies. The economy there is is shambles. That is not how a bioweapon is used.

China isolated Wuhan from the rest of China, but allowed flights to go to the rest of the world.
They’re guilty.
But it did its job. Had it be an obvious bio attack, China would have risked retaliation.
