It would appear that what you are advocating is some form of natural economy based upon barter. “I will trade you 6 chickens for X” kind of thing. That appears to be the only type of transaction that could not be traced. I don’t think that paper currency or coins will be around very much longer.
Rhodesia did it and they survived for awhile...
I’m considering buying a lot of extra coffee, both K-cups and cans. Lots of people love coffee, so it could become a form of currency, just like whiskey was in the time of the Whiskey Rebellion.
