If you’re not part of Twitter, and media Twitter at that, you will be blessedly ignorant of a HUGE controversy today. The political news and commentary website Politico asked conservative commentator Ben Shapiro to guest-edit today’s edition of its morning Playbook feature. Shapiro is completely within the conservative mainstream, but that did not stop the Politico staff from freaking out. Erik Wemple is the Washington Post media columnist:

yes, scary stuff - we may have to endure a whole lot of ugliness (way uglier than what we have experienced up to the present) before a large enough percentage of people recognize who the enemies of freedom & prosperity is - and start helping to push back against this.
Do our first amendment free speech rights extend only to speech not being abridged by the government? Is censorship by Big Tech, as abhorrent as it may be, perfectly legal because they are not the government?
If these corporations funnel lots of money to the politicians they are part of the government essentially, if not formally.

I have met only one lawyer who dislikes Citizens.
In 15 to 17 or so, I got of FR flack for saying most all Republicans were corportists.
Now, think would get a lot of agreement.
