AOC is calling on Congress to directly violate the First Amendment by ‘reining in’ media that might be favorable to President Trump.
‘We’re going to have to figure out how we reign in our media environment so that you can’t just spew disinformation and misinformation’
Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stated that some Congress members are discussing the need to create an investigative commission to “rein in” media sources that she said “spew disinformation and misinformation” that played a part in the January 6 storming of the Capitol building.
“There’s absolutely a commission that is being discussed, but it seems to be more investigatory in style rather than in truth and reconciliation,” Ocasio-Cortez said during a lengthy Instagram Live video on January 12 that was posted to Twitter by Tom Elliot.

How shameless do you have to be to be a public servant and publicly state that you want to violate the Constitution rights of the American people?
Wow. They’re openly violating the laws of the United States of America in full view of the public. This behavior is a direct violation of their oaths of office. How is she not being arrested?
When did that ever stop them? We have no Supreme Court to protect our rights and freedoms anymore.

it’s interesting how for 5 long years the left screamed that Trump was Hitler, yet it is they who are demanding censorship, demanding benefits based on race, demanding that they be obeyed. They really are pathetic and hateful.

In that context, I’d say that her overbearing behaviour fits like a Conquistadore’s helmet.
When the First Amendment goes — and they seem to be going for all of it — then the contract is broken and the deal is off. That’s the sine qua non of liberty.
