Long the provenance of science fiction, laser weapons are quickly becoming the new norm. At the forefront? U.S. Navy destroyers.
Coming to a Destroyer Near You
It almost sounds like something from a sci-fi plot or Star Trek: A U.S. Navy destroyer is underway in the Arabian Sea, full steam ahead toward the Gulf of Oman. Meanwhile, a group of Iranian fast-attack boats approaches, disregarding calls from the destroyer to change their course. They’re armed with various anti-ship missiles and are ready to blow an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer out of the water. But before they’re able to lob their missiles at the ship, the lead boat’s engine explodes, leaving a gaping hole at the boat’s stern, rapidly filling the boat with seawater.

Heck, they could get lasers, death rays, photon torpedos and cloaking devices, it doesn’t matter. Won’t be used in a competent fashion for anything worthwhile.
Maybe the Tranny CO can command his force of lesbians, gays, and assorted misfits competently enough so the ship doesn’t sink, or not.
Meanwhile, China will be sure to limit and regulate all deployments.
As if the Democrats give a shit about our national defense.
When are they going to launch battle cruisers into orbit? Taking the high ground, you know.
Before China does.
All surface combat ships are floating coffins in the modern technological era. The political pole climbing Battleship admirals and the lunatic Democrats will guarantee the horrible deaths of many brave young people who will die far from home and not defending their own country.
“Before China does.”
From this point forward, look to China for innovation. We’re done. We’re far too busy bringing as many people into this country as possible and bankrupting ourselves.
Every darn thing is politicized, and in that environment, innovation dies.
China will get them first.
After 4 years of efforts towards peace, I’d expect another war around the corner. Wars are game-changers when it comes to elections, so let’s not think that all is lost with the clowns who will be in charge.
None of us likes war, but it’s a good political tool and takes focus away from social issues like the anti-gender movement.
Ask Elon Musk. SpaceX Starship is big enough that they could put laser weapons on it. And enough Tesla batteries to power them.
That’s a stupid anti USN and anti USA rant.
Do you feel better?
Edification for stupid people: The USN can defeat any two other navies in the world simultaneously, at least.
“From this point forward, look to China for innovation. We’re done”
Stupid people believe that.
“Edification for stupid people: The USN can defeat any two other navies in the world simultaneously, at least.”
Uh huh. And who exactly would give the Navy permission to engage a foreign threat? Only if the CCP gave the word.
And that powerful Navy will be significantly less powerful in 4 years. I’m certain of that.
“Stupid people believe that.”
Actually, it’s stupid people who see change around them but expect things will go as they always have.
The U.S. Navy still has some sailors who love our country.
But the U.S. Navy management, burned up and sank itself in San Diego, with the same tenacity of word manipulation of the present-moment’s RINO’s scrambling away from The American Sector.
The loyal sailors will fight, but the mad-scramble-dashing knights of institutionalized self-preservation, ARE NOT WAR FIGHTERS.
“The loyal sailors will fight, but the mad-scramble-dashing knights of institutionalized self-preservation, ARE NOT WAR FIGHTERS.”
I did not insult the average sailor, of which I was one. I do mean to insult the leadership, and the social engineering laboratory that the left likes to make of the military.
You are OK.
My observation of the situation, was in your defense.
Whatcha gonna do about it???
