It is nigh impossible to look away from the chaos in Washington, but U.S.-Iran relations in the waning days of the Trump administration deserve a wary glance.
Two U.S. bombers flew a “deterrence mission” in the Gulf region this past Thursday. U.S. Central Command has yet to release a statement on the flight, but an official described the last such mission in December as a means of ensuring “that if the Iranians do think they have a plan that’s executable, that they think twice before executing it, because they do see that we have a robust posture and presence still remaining in the region that could respond to any provocation should it occur.” Official language was similar: “Potential adversaries should understand that no nation on earth is more ready and capable of rapidly deploying additional combat power in the face of any aggression,” said CENTCOM Commander General Frank McKenzie, who described the bomber mission as an exercise in readiness for a conflict “[w]e do not seek.”

no worries. after the 20th we’ll have a new ally along with china and russia.
You know the first thing Biden will do is get us into a war.
Maybe we should send them some soup.
On January 20th,2021 we will have to endure a mentally incompetent agent of the Chinese Communist Party taking over the Office of the presidency.
This individual is so mentally incompetent that he has issues remembering family members, the location where he’s located and issues with making decisions. Decisions that will have to be made in the near future with all of the predators that occupy this planet.
This President elect has no “Gravitas” A word that the Rats like throwing in our face often and as a result the worlds tyrants don’t fear him.
I’m Now retired so I have no dog in this fight But I fear that in a short period of time our country will be in a war that this individual will have to face and instead of preventing or fighting it properly he and his party will throw all sorts of obstacles in the way of our troops like they have done in every war our nation has been involved with in the last 35 years.
Thank fully I have No children of military age to waste at that mentally incompetent individuals expense.
I’m sure there are billions of dollars in cash getting loaded on tarmac now about to be sent to Iran
Or pallets o cash.
Just a matter of time
Isn’t there a thing where you can’t switch presidents during a war. Never mind obama took over and we were still in a war.
They gotta distract us from noticing their incompetence somehow.
Duh.
You bring up something that I’ve been tempted to post a Vanity about: I do not have children, but if I did, there is no way I’d now “allow” them or encourage them to serve in the military. I can’t see any Trump or country loving conservative letting their kids risk life or limb under these recent conditions. The enemy is within. All other threats are secondary. We need to lock down, gear up, and remain vigilant against the current domestic threat.
Let’s always steer clear from war with Iran. They won’t attack us. They are not suicidal.
Biden has teamed up with the neocon warmongers of the Lincoln Project. Together, they will do the bidding of the military/industrial complex and kickstart the Middle East war machine to get it running again, after Trump recklessly brought an unwelcome era of peace to the region.
The mullahs may or may not be suicidal but they are power mad. And they have and will continue to sacrifice their youth in fanatical human wave attacks.
The mullahs smell victory in their quest for a nuclear bomb. Beijing Biden will restore the Obama giveaway and cold peace with Israel.
Only Israel’s nukes hold them at bay, now and for decades. The Middle East as of January 20th will go back to being a far more dangerous place than Pres. Trump left it.
No problems. Joe’s in their back pocket, so peace will reign.
I think the odds of America plunging back into worthless conflicts is likely.
Iran will probably wait until 12:01 p.m. on January 20. /shiny side out
