The word [democracy] will continue to be used as cover for oligarchic rule in the interest of the few. All who find the courage to challenge rule by the few will be demonized as “enemies of democracy.” We are already seeing it. President Trump and his “deplorables” are already declared “enemies of democracy.” Quotes from "The Russian Revolution" by Alan Moorehead 1958. They fit more and more everyday.
