The Same Company that De-Platformed Parler, Amazon Web Services, Is Again Petitioning to Run Pentagon Defense Systems

This past week Amazon Web Services (AWS) shut down Twitter competitor, Parler, because AWS didn’t like Parler’s policy of providing for free speech. Meanwhile AWS is again petitioning to run the Pentagon’s Defense System.
We reported in July that Amazon banned censorship documentary “Killing Free Speech”:
Ironically Proving the Point – Amazon Bans Censorship Documentary “Killing Free Speech” – Democrats Shut It Down on Capitol Hill
Then we saw last week that Amazon Web Services (AWS) kicked Parler off its web servers, shutting the platform down:
BREAKING: Amazon Kicks Parler Off Web Server — Shuts Platform Down Until They Find New Host
This same company, AWS, is again petitioning the courts to be awarded the highly contested JEDI contract:
Amazon Web Services is taking another run at getting the court to set aside the Pentagon’s 10-year, $10 billion Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure cloud contract award to Microsoft.
According to an updated lawsuit filed in the Court of Federal Claims, AWS’ revised proposal – a corrective action that took place while the case was on remand — was tens of millions of dollars less than what Microsoft offered. Additionally, AWS claims the Defense Department’s choice reflects the long-standing animus of President Donald Trump toward Jeff Bezos, founder of AWS parent company Amazon.
“[T]hese errors did not occur in a vacuum,” the lawsuit states. “Instead they can be best explained as the latest manifestation of President Trump’s determination to steer the JEDI contract away from AWS.”
The revised complaint is dated Oct. 23 and was released with redactions on Dec. 15. DOD publicly announced the re-award to Microsoft on Sept. 4. The contract was originally awarded to Microsoft in October, 2019. The request for proposals was released in the summer of 2018 and the structure of the single-award enterprise cloud contract was developed the year before that.
Does it seem like a good idea to give a large defense contract to a company that shuts down other companies because it wants to?

Now that Amazon has shut down Parler’s servers and taking Parler offline, Amazon has violated Free Speech.
I would avoid buying from them, you can find the same products elsewhere.
I’ve rarely bought anything from Amazon because of the illegal way they have run small competitors out of business for years - Jeff Bezos is a scumbag.

Microsoft already won the multi-billion dollar cloud contract last year. Amazon’s had litigation in the courts appealing this since the award announcement to Microsoft. With a Biden administration, and the view the Microsoft as a vendor was a Trump decision, it wouldn’t surprise me if the contract was reversed and the bid process restarted.

Since Amazon did this so easily to a private enterprise, why would we think our national defense would be secure?
Sort like Bezos saying:"I don't like your policy/war in X country, so I shutting off access to your servers"

You can see where this is going - if my business has a website with an online store and this could be any store, I now have to be concerned that Amazon, Shopify, Google and/or Apple will take measures to shut my online presence down IF I am in any way, shape, manner or form, supporting a political belief different from their own.
I could run a hotel taking reservations online and get shutdown. Chic-fil-A could get shut down. Imagine having your business being removed from Google searches and Google Maps -
No one is safe from this retribution and attack on liberty. I'll tell you who's next - online ammo sites, weapons manufacturers, conservative news sites and forums.
This issue is a clear and present danger to our country and Constitution...let's see how our elected leaders respond as that will tell us everything we need to know -

So, by destroying (so they think) Paroler, the conservative Facebook alternative , Amazon expects “pay back” from the new Biden administration.
What might M$ now do? Their cloud business is right up there with Amazon’s. How else did they win their contract?
What conservative groups might they now bounce to maintain their position of endurement with the liberal establishment?
If you are conservative and now hosted on M$, you better watch out!
May all these liberal monoliths destroy themselves by proving none are worthy to be called an American company, but rather are sold out to the coming WEF’s Great Reset.

tens of millions of dollars less than what Microsoft offeredOut of a ten billion dollar contract. The contracting officer and source selection board are allowed to select a contract based on best overall value for the government including whether the offer provides what the government needs.

Over the last 10 years, the government has changed bidding strategy. The huge multi-year, high dollar contracts have morphed to IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) with a maximum allocation cap for the award and money allocated over a Base Year with 1 or more Option Years to follow. If the winner turns into a bad egg (AWS), the Indefinite Quantity metric can be ZERO, and Option Years left on the table.
