Like a NASCAR winner doing donuts, the smoke must be pouring off the tires of Joe Scarborough's car. Because on today's Morning Joe, Scarborough pulled a screeching, rubber-burning, 180. Just last week, we noted Scarborough demanding that President Trump "be arrested today. He should be sent to jail today for insurrection."
But on today's show, Scarborough suddenly changed course, warning against prosecuting President Trump. Said Scarborough:
"My concern has always been, we go down this road, then we are criminalizing politics . . . Do we not have to keep that in mind. Do we not have to keep that in mind. Do we not have to be cognizant of that fact: that if we do jail a president, even if he deserves to be in jail, that we begin down a dangerous road?"
Meanwhile, guest Tom Rogers, a former NBC exec, warned that if President Trump is indicted, he might flee to someplace like Brazil!

After Trump leaves, what is Scarborough going to do.
He will not tell the truth about Biden, and he cannot keep bringing Trump up if he is out there throwing bricks at the Democrats. Scarborough has no home.
Good point. Without Trump to focus so much of their coverage on, and to attract their liberal audiences, the liberal networks are going to suffer some major ratings/$$ hits.

Our #3 son married a Brazilian girl a few years back. We went to the wedding in a suburb of Rio. They were having a presidential election. The owner of the house where we were staying was an expatiate American missionary. He said there were 33 political parties in Brazil and they all had Socialist in their name. All of them were corrupt - their leaders lived on bribes, etc. The only people with guns were the robbers. Don’t know who won that election, but the next time Bolsonaro, a Christian, won in a runoff. As far as I know he is not a member of any of the 33 parties. Apparently he allowed citizen arming and bus robberies are greatly reduced.
No way to flee. Biden’s State Department will pull the Trump family passports before spring is over.
