The 117th Congress has started busily filing bills. None of the text is available yet, but the bill titles are informative. This what I’ve found to date. All of these are in the House. As of this writing nothing directly affecting Second Amendment rights appears to have been filed in the Senate.

~~~SNIP~~~
13 house bills filed among which this one filed by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee:
H.R.127 – To provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms, and to prohibit the possession of certain ammunition.
Went to gun store yesterday...they are so low on stock..NO shotguns at all.
Does anyone have actual gun maker sites..not Amazon or random Gulag sites...?
I understand no background check needed for shotgun buying..correct?
I live in Florida.
Shotgun purchase requires a background check AFAIK. Only something like an air rifle wouldn’t.
"Why do you think the democrats, socialists, progressives want to start a hot conflict?"
Because they are successful with tactics like this...
And that's child's play. For people willing to learn, to use their minds, to be loyal to each other and to *keep distracting, misleading infiltrators out*, winning in politics is easy. Guerrilla warfare is a whole lot more difficult strategically, mentally and physically.
Some words from the wise:
“A people armed and free forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition and is a bulwark for the nation against foreign invasion and domestic oppression.”
James Madison
“Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace.” - James Madison
“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.” Patrick Henry.
“A people unwilling to use extreme violent force to preserve or obtain their liberty deserves the tyrants that rule them.” Thomas Jefferson
“There is no comparison whatever between an armed and disarmed man; it is not reasonable to suppose that one who is armed will obey willingly one who is unarmed; or that any unarmed man will remain safe....” - Niccoló Machiavelli, The Prince. 1537.
“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.” — Thomas Jefferson
“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
— Thomas Jefferson
“…Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed....” Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, 1787
“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms.”
- Thomas Jefferson, letter to James Madison, December 20, 1787
“The Constitution of most of our states (and of
the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed.”
- Thomas Jefferson, letter to to John Cartwright, 5 June 1824
“The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them.” – Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States, 1833.
“To disarm the people is the best and most effective way to enslave them.” — George Mason.
“There exists a law…inborn in our hearts…by natural intuition…if our lives are endangered by plots or violence or armed robbers or enemies, any and every method of protecting ourselves is morally right.” — Roman statesman and philosopher Marcus Tullius Cicero
Let’s stop calling them communists. They wear that like a badge of honor.
Instead, let’s call them what they are since they are in league with Big Business: They are Fascists.
In my estimation this will be the tipping point. If we do not react to this, and react in a manner that assures liberals that they will regret their actions, we may as well just give up.
Absolutely. Give up your defense, and you're going to die anyway. May as well take the bastards down with you.
Yes, they’re heading us towards a newer and possibly more dangerous animal: a world fascist plutocracy.
Communism: socialist government owns all businesses, media and property.
Fascism: socialist government that allows only people who agree with it and serve it to continue as business owners, employees, teachers, media workers and property owners.
Fascist plutocracy: wealthy individuals control socialist government and allow only people who agree with them and serve them to continue as business owners, employees, teachers, media propagandists and property owners.
The 117th Congress is the most corrupt Congress in the history of the United States of America.
Of course not.
They want us unarmed and defenseless.
I would hope that some Constitution loving rep would stand up and quote the Second Amendment to this Congress and remind them that they are prohibited by the Constitution from enacting any laws that infringe on our right to keep and bear arms.
As if that would make any difference.
You need to have a conscience for that to happen.
"...2A Rights Under Attack..."
President Harris will naturally pursue the "low-hanging fruit" by accosting legal gunowners with recent FFL paperwork who are likely still in possession of the firearm they just purchased. So much for the trite boating accident meme.
They will next ask people to turn them in for a below-market absurd "buyback" price that nobody wants. Those not complying will soon have a felony arrest warrant hanging over them. Authorities can connect DMV records. Modern police cruisers can scan plates of every car without officer intervention to front, rear, and even sides with plate scanners. Good luck driving to peacefully go get groceries.
Big Government will subsequently use stronger coercion like switching-off water, stopping food delivery, no mail, no electricity, no natural gas, no heating oil, freezing bank accounts, and canceling credit cards, etc. with the full knowledge 90% of people, or more, will ultimately crack. People will be enticed with $1000 "good citizen bonus" payments to turn-in gunowner friends. Very few shots will be fired.
They will think of even more draconian techniques for the tougher cases. That is my initial prediction on how they will roll. This ain't at all pretty.
...if I am not mistaken this was the first step among many taken by the Australian government a number of years ago...”Not to worry, mate..all we want to do is have you register your firearms with us...no big deal....” then years later it became mandatory confiscation of all those registered firearms...they know who you are, what kind of guns you have, and how to take them by force if necessary... Welcome to the Democratic Peoples Republic of America...
