After more than 24 hours of public silence since protesters stormed the Capitol, President Donald Trump released a short video where he blasted the ‘heinous’ attack and called for national ‘healing’ and an ‘orderly’ and ‘seamless’ transition to a new administration.
He tweeted the video after being banned from Twitter for dangerous rhetoric and as he faced new calls for his impeachment and for Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment.
On a day when top Democratic leaders accused him of fomenting ‘insurrection,’ Trump described his election challenges seeking to overturn the results as a plan to protect democracy itself.
My campaign vigorously pursued every legal avenue to contest the election results. My only goal was to ensure the integrity of the vote. And so doing I was fighting to defend American democracy,’ Trump said.
He blasted those who invaded the Capitol for ‘lawlessness and mayhem.’
‘I am outraged by the violence lawlessness and mayhem. I immediately deployed the National Guard and federal law enforcement to secure the building and expel the intruders,’ he said – contradicting a long delay before the National Guard got dispatched, and statements by top military officials that they coordinated with Vice President Mike Pence on activating the Guard.
But that wasn’t enough to convince the Dems and the mainstream media that it wasn’t President Trump who called his supporters to attack the Capitol. A trio of House Democrats plan to introduce articles of impeachment against President Trump on Monday for incitement of insurrection following Wednesday’s riots at the U.S. Capitol.
Lefties conspiracy didn’t stop here. Liberal reporters right now are openly fabricating a story Trump was trying to assassinate Mike Pence.
Next week, the headlines the media are making up tonight will be every news story headline.
Yet NO ONE calls this out while it happens.
Both parties are RIGGED against a sitting President.

I know he no longer has any hope of being a player on the national stage. But if he wants any credibility as a state politician in his home state of Indiana he needs to step up and complete his duties as Vice President. That includes confronting Congressional Democrats instead of dodging their phone calls. It also includes meeting with the press to correct lies about what happened. OH well, I guess he just hasn’t got the courage.

Pence could have sent the Electoral Vote to the courts, where, they would have been turned down and appealed to the SC. Besides, Pence had nothing to lose, he was out of a job.
Actually, I’d be less surprised if it was a Nancy Pelosi plan. She wants so badly to be Queen for a Day. In the unlikely and ridiculous scenario where an instant impeachment takes place, Pence would stand between Nancy and the Presidency, if only for a day or a week.
Lin Wood tweeted that Pence should be arrested and executed and that tweet was on the phone screen of the girl who was shot to death.
My liberal sister just called me all hysterical about this dark web plot to kill Mike pence and whatnot.

You misunderstood me.
The “seriousness of the charges” refers to something that, IIRC, Tom Foley (D) said in response to the utterly ludicrous charges that Pappy Bush flew to Paris on an SR71 to convince the Iranians to hold onto the hostages till after Reagan took office.
This “serious charge” was leveled by a clown in Congress who is typical of much of the Left these days, but even then the Democrats in Congress who weren’t quite as openly clownish still spent millions and months to investigate “serious charges” (it was an earlier version of Russia Collusion).
It wasn’t the first time, for Democrats always think charges leveled against Republicans are serious ... even as no charge leveled at a powerful Democrat is ever really serious enough.
How this works: Biden abuses his office to squish an investigation into his son and it’s all good with the Democrats; Trump asks that the investigation resume and play out and it’s a crime worth impeachment.
Or how about Biden bragging about the voter fraud machine? Nothing sauce to the Left. But Trump or anyone speak up about the same?
You get the idea.
The reference I made was to how Republicans are simply open to being accused by anyone ... no matter how spurious the charge (as in this case) ... and it is simply accepted. Did we hear the LMSM jump up and call the suggestion “unsubstantiated” as they repeatedly do when any bring up actual election fraud?
