Trump spoke for about 70 minutes at the Ellipse across the street from the south lawn of the White House, beginning at about noon, eastern time. His speech ended at about 1:10 p.m. The protesters began at about 1:10 p.m., pulling down barricades near the west side of the Capitol. Given the distance and the density of the crowd, how much time would it have taken somebody to go from where they could hear Trump's speech to the place where the barricades were first pulled down or another part of the Capitol was entered? I estimate that it was at least 1.5 miles from the place you could hear Trump's speech to the place where the entries first began. I wonder whether any of the people who first entered the Capitol heard Trump's speech. I wonder how many of any of those who entered the Capitol heard Trump's speech. I hope somebody with more time than me can research this.

I just came across this at The Donald.win; worth reading even if the large pic makes it a bit of a pain.

It directly answers your question, and then some.
i just listened to this.
Dems(&those ruled by evil/selfishness) had their own plans for the chaos at capital, Good guys had other plans. Helps me see the much bigger picture trying to come to fruition.
IN God we TRUST. For USofA and world.
I was there. Many thousands were heading for Capital Hill while Trump was still speaking.
I was there on the road between his speech and Washington’s Monument. I did not go to the capitol but later that night had a dream that I was in the building beating up an Antifa guy. Strange dream. It woke me out of a sound sleep.
My brother and I were at the Washington memorial and we couldn’t hear so we said let’s go over to the capital and get a “good seat”. By that time I already had met and photo’d “horn man” and there was a guy with no MAGA gear on walking around quietly telling everyone their going in at 1:00. I saw him twice and repeated back to him about going in at 1:00. We probably left there around 1:30.
We ended up with box seats when it all started. I heard and saw coordinated efforts to breach. Saw people cutting the observation plastic wrapping and going into the scaffolding then probably into the building. Was there when the initial flash bombs went off along with gas and paint balls. Had a hell of a time getting out of the front of the group and moved back probably fifty yards then moved to the left of the back of the capital.
Alex Jones was set up over on the left side and had full view of the stair case that was full of protestors breaching through the plastic cover of the scaffolding. Jones was telling everyone to go to the front of the capital as that is where the permit for the demonstration was located.
By the time we got to the front people were up on the steps of the capital. We witnessed people knocking out windows and breaching the capital. Could I identify? No but the one breach we saw was two or three all geared up with one “civie”. A lot of the trouble makers were these wanna’ be military types. I think this is where they infiltrated. Saw one guy that got gassed bad and these clowns were yelling for a corpsman. Q guys is my guess.
While out front watching some guy walked pass us with his hands cuffed behind his back. Obviously got away and was looking for a cutoff saw. He was Not MAGA. While standing there we observed a sign displayed from a second story window. Obvious someone was in an office they shouldn’t be in.
We left around 3:30 and headed to a metro station three blocks away and got one block from the station and was told a pipe bomb threat came in and they shut the line down. We walked probably six - seven blocks before we got to the next station.
I would say the breach started around 2:00. All the heavy stuff was going on to my right by the observation stand/tower. The initial breaching took place on the stair well, left side scaffolding.
Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I can see how some of those people ended up inside just by the mob pushing them in. That is the reason we got out of there as we were afraid of being overrun. Not as spry as I used to be.
A day to remember for sure.
Where were the jersey barriers, road blocking dump trucks and army tanks, security checkpoints at every intersection. The mayor has used these crowd control tools for years. The DC Government provided the Crowd an Express Pass that has never been offered before.
I was headed to the Capitol right after President Trump’s speech. My frozen feet were having none of it, so I turned left and started walking toward open streets with vehicular traffic to catch an UBER back to the hotel. It was probably a mile and a half. If I had any sense of direction (I don’t), I probably could have walked to the hotel.
I watched the mayhem online. I was surprised, but not shocked.
As bizarre as it was, I got sense of satisfaction when I heard that the congresscritters evacuated to the bunker.
“When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty.”
For as long as our elected representatives were cowering in their safe space there was, at least, a whiff of liberty.
It did not happen that way.
Very few people could hear President Trump or other speakers because the audio was so bad.
Many people started drifting toward the Capitol before the speeches ended.
There were very few Capitol police. They could not handle the crowds of people.
Most of the people did not get right up to the capitol. There were just too many.
I am sure there were some agitators that infiltrated the crowd, but it was a mixed, chaotic situation.
You should post this account again on another thread. You give a very clear account of what you saw.

I have a couple of pics that I haven’t seen posted. Not breaking the law but breaking heads. Have them on my iPhone. Was pretty intense!
Excellent point.
You came in from Illinois to participate? You sure got to see a
memorial event happening that will go down in the history books.

Mid-Illinois, 800 miles stopped in Richmond and picked up brother.
Proud to say I stood for light over evil that day.
I wish somebody could create a graphic showing the location of the loudspeakers and the area in which they could be heard. Thanks for your report.
The first wall about (three feet tall) down from the memorial towards Ellipse. The first tree line going from memorial too Ellipse is where the megatron and speakers were. Probably ~200 yds.
Barricades were breached by as early as 10:00 a.m. (ET): https://twitter.com/rebtanhs/status/1346879406581624833
This was Tweeted by a Washington Post reporter at 10:00 a.m., I presume eastern time. It was re-Tweeted by another Washington Post reporter (https://twitter.com/mikedebonis/status/1346882064847679490) at 10:06 a.m. There are surely many more videos on social media by professional reporters and non-reporters.

In this Washington Post article (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2021/video-timeline-capitol-breach/?itid=lb_complete-coverage-pro-trump-mob-storms-capitol-building_3) it says that at 1:00 p.m. “The mob began toppling barricades in front of the Capitol and pushed past Capitol Police officers.” If their own reporters began Tweeting video of barricades being breached at 10:00 a.m., why does the article say 1:00 p.m. Are the time-stamps on the tweets in Pacific Standard Time?
