Thousands of President Trump’s supporters surrounded the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday afternoon as Congress met inside the building to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election. Many protested peacefully, but a substantial number did not, and the entire scene quickly devolved into utter chaos.
Republican Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona claims that Antifa had provoked the chaos.
Two more congressional Republicans had joined him. First, Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, who told Lou Dobbs that while there could have been “some” Trump supporters, it also “could be any other number of groups, anarchists or what have you.”
Then, to audible boos on the floor of the House of Representatives, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz said he had:
“some pretty compelling evidence from a facial recognition company showing that some of the people that breached the Capitol today were not Trump supporters, they were masquerading as Trump supporters and in fact were members of the violent terrorist group, Antifa.” St Louis,Missouri Launches New Policy For Cars Used Less Than 49 Miles/Day Comparisons.org
Mainstream media claims that these are evidence-free claims but a video that surfaced recently shows Trump supporters as they stopped a person whom they believed to be an Antifa thug who was trying to break windows in the Capitol. In one of the videos, Trump supporters can be heard calling out, “Don’t break the window!” “No Antifa! No Antifa!” as several Trump supporters intervened and stopped the attack by someone dressed and acting like Antifa but with a Trump sticker on the back of their helmet.

The independent citizen journalist Alexander Higgins added more fuel to the allegations that there were Agent Provocateurs among the protestors wearing “MAGA CIVIL WAR” shirts.

The media presuming zip ties were for taking hostages is hilarious. Must have never been to a protest before.

As long as there was at least one verified Trump supporter then this is meaningless

I was watching the President speak online, and he arrived a few minutes later than planned.
This resulted in his speech running later than planned, and I was noticing that the time had come for the actual vote count (1 p.m. EST) and he was still speaking.
I watched the beginning of the proceedings but missed a couple of minutes because I watched all of Trump’s speech.
He then instructed the massive crowd to march down the street to continue the protest. This walk would have taken quite some time. Obviously the instigators could not wait around for the speech to finish. But I think things would have gone much worse if the speech had been finished in time for the crowd to be there for the vote. I think that is what the instigators planned.
It is apparent to me that there was an orchestrated plan to sabotage the protest to “storm” the joint session.
There were police letting the crowds through and into the building. There were instigators in the crowd who were not merely leading the way, they were calling others to follow them in.
In a nutshell, it was a setup.
It was fortunate that the president’s speech ran long. It was unfortunate that he didn’t include a statement to be orderly, lawful, follow police direction, and stay OUTSIDE. He shouldn’t have needed to say any of these things, but it would have made it a lot more difficult for the media to blame him.
It’s too late. The genie’s out of the bottle. The narrative has been set.
This is why the leftist tactics are useless for conservatives. The Left is successful because they have powerful allies in the media and law enforcement.
The media establishes the narrative and the legal system provides cover.
But when Conservatives attempt to peacefully demonstrate, they’re branded as insurrectionists and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
It’s imperative to recognize the rules of engagement and adjust your tactics accordingly.
Our enemies are perfecting their Alinsky/other tactics...people caught up in the moment could easily be persuaded to do things they would not normally do.
Add to the...it's been a uniquely challenging 12 months for a lot of folk. Nerves are on edge.
Where there is no direct leadership at these protests, it doesn’t take much to manipulate the people and control them. Just need a charismatic person who says the right thing to gain trust and there you go.

One current Metro D.C. police officer said that off-duty police officers & members of the military, who were among the rioters, flashed their badges and I.D. cards as they attempted to overrun the building.
Which the big tech companies are trying to deplatform until they are down to distributing copies of their info typed with multiple carbon copies like an American Samizdat.

There were Antifa, obviously, and certainly there were a few nutty supposed Trump supporters, such as the Viking crazy, but mostly there were a lot of people who were just milling around taking selfies and wondering why they had been allowed into the building by the cops.
However, I think a lot of the agents provocateur doing things like breaking windows, etc., were actually law enforcement, probably FBI, and had come prepared to make arrests. Don’t forget that the FBI was famous for staging undercover operations in the early days of the Black Panthers in the 1960s designed to give cause for arresting them. This was when the FBI was committing crimes on behalf of the right; now it’s the left.
I’m not defending the Black Panthers, who were certainly violent enough on their own, but it was quite a scandal in its day that the FBI had felt they had to rev it up just a little bit more.
Yep, also did you see the NPR headline posted at about 9:30 am indicating that the violence or something to that effect had already started almost like they knew something was up or going to happen.
