Hmm.... I don't think we're talking about the same set of videos.
The first link I posted above of this 1min-13sec longer video is taken by someone standing down the hallway some distance from the doors, just past where the entrance to the stairs is. You can't even see the shooter in it. (This is the video I pulled most of my reconstructed time line from).
But the 2nd shorter video I link to is taken by someone much further forward and to the left, who is pressed right up against the cracked left window and has the best view of the shooter than anyone else seems to have.
What you mention about the guy in the suit tending to Ashli is in the 2nd shorter video (that I first heard about from you). It just dawned on me that since none of the authorities or LEO's to the inside of the door saw the shot but only heard it, they wouldn't know for sure if it wasn't some protestor on their side of the barrier who fired it. This could explain their high level of stress, their yelling at people to get back, pointing their guns at them, swearing at them, and so on.
