Country music star and “The Voice” coach Blake Shelton became the latest celebrity to be targeted by cancel culture this week for his new song “Minimum Wage.” Luckily for him, fellow country star Ronnie Dunn of “Brooks & Dunn” fame stepped up with a lengthy defense of Shelton. Dunn wasn’t alone in his support as legendary Red Rocker Sammy Hagar had Shelton’s back as well.

If by “mob” do you mean people who will threaten and ruin the lives of others who don’t adhere to their way of life? Leftist mobs in this country have nothing to fear, if past responses by the right are any indication.

Yeah, I met you ‘fore anyone knew my name
Playin’ for pennies on the dive bar stage
Split an all-star special on our first date in a Waffle House booth
Your daddy was cryin’ when he gave you away
‘Cause all those country songs I played
They didn’t come with a 401k
But hey, I had you

[Chorus]
You can make a six pack on the carpet
Taste like a million dollar bill
You can make a one bed room apartment
Feel like a house up on the hill
You can make my truck out in the driveway
Roll like a cleaned up Cadillac
Girl, lookin’ at you lookin’ at me that way
Can make a man feel rich on minimum wage

[Post-Chorus]
Girl, your love is money, your love is money
Yeah, your love can make a man feel rich on minimum wage
Girl, your love is money, your love is money
Yeah, your love can make a man feel rich on minimum wage

[Verse 2]
You can give me a tab that’s always open
Give me a yacht parked out in the ocean
But all that keepin’ up with the Jones’
It just ain’t my style
Just give me some lights strung out in the yard
Give me a lawn chair under the stars
The top of the world’s right where you are
‘Cause every time you smile
Primis Player Placeholder

Kyle Kramer (@KYLE0REN), that's who. He made a post cuz his momma let him play with her phone, and then other people jumped on the bandwagon. That's it.

You answered the second part yourself.

It’s big tech that’s all. It’s the soy boys raised by Karens aka Soccer Moms aka Suburban moms who now run all of what can and will be said and heard in public.

They run these platforms like FB, and Twitter where cancel culture started.

Exactly. Also, cancel culture has become institutionalized in colleges and in all entertainment media and legacy media.
Oh, and not to mention it’s pushed by globalists and their corporate brethren.

I don’t listen to any country other than stuff like Marty Robbins, but whats the problem with that song? Don’t see anything to be upset about.

That’s it? I haven’t heard it but I like the lyrics. That’s pretty much the perfect country song except it doesn’t include mama, or jail, or trains.

These cancel culture types have some serious issues.

Who the BLEEP are in this “mob” anyway and why should anyone give two shites about what they think?

Answer: Extreme radical leftist Marxists/Communists ... i.e., the Democrat Party. It's that simple.

They're Marxists/Communists in their late teens and twenties, on the web 24/7/365, obsessively searching for anything and everything they can "Cancel." They relentlessly hunt like wild cackles of hyenas. All Democrat politicians like to pretend their Democrat "Cancel Culture" doesn't exist ... but it obviously does. Ask Sleepy Joe about the "Cancel Culture" and he'll claim ignorance: Oh that's just an "idea," just like Antifa. (Yeah, right.)

That is how the Democrat Party Cabal has been operating for a long time now. Get used to it because it will only get worse. You must never publicly say or do anything of which the Democrat Party Cabal's "Cancel Culture" disapproves. Otherwise, watch out (as Blake Shelton recently found out the hard way). Given that even superstar Blake Shelton is aggressively attacked by the "Cancel Culture," so can any American be likewise unmercifully attacked. It's ... The New Normal.

Thanks for posting the lyrics. Big Tech has apparently "cancelled" the song--it's no longer available on Youtube, or apparently anywhere else.

What in the hell is so controversial about that song? It's one of dozens on the theme of love being more important than material-wealth-like Side By Side, I'll Get By, or Can't Buy Me Love.

I don’t think there’s anything offensive in the song. The criticism I saw in the comments on YouTube was along the lines of “what does multimillionaire Blake Shelton know about living on a minimum wage? He’s being insensitive, and a lot of us are suffering right now and don’t even have a job at all.” I think most listeners would disagree with that sort of criticism and be accepting that the song has a nice message without overthinking it or taking it too literally, the message being that a man is so happy to be with his wife that he feels rich even with very little money.
