Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has shown real star quality throughout 2020, thanks to his temperate handling of the Wuhan virus. He refused to put his state into lockdown but still managed to keep Florida from turning into a Wuhan virus nightmare. On Monday, he also proved that he knows how to handle the hostile media. Other Republican politicians would do well to follow his lead.

I thought Gillium had the gift-of-gab advantage but he slipped by and Trump taught him well.

We went back to work here (Fla) in March after a four week shutdown that was not necessary.

40 some people here in VERY close proximity to each other every day. Nobody’s been sick. Not one. We also do not wear mask.

He’s really good! He’s not a flamboyant personality or even a particularly galvanizing speaker, because he’s actually all about the facts, something we’ve forgotten in all this.

If we survive the Dem years with our system intact, I hope he runs for President. If we don’t, I hope he becomes leader of a coalition of free states.

“40 some people here in VERY close proximity to each other every day. Nobody’s been sick. Not one. We also do not wear mask.”

People don’t want to hear it. They want to be afraid. I’m guessing it gives them some kind of meaning or something. My neighbor visited Fla over Christmas. She was amazed that it’s like nothing happened in Fla. People moving about, not really worried or masked up.

I said to her, interesting that Fla didn’t lock down, and is doing better than places that did lock down, like Ohio! (Where we live). She dismissed it, maybe it’s the sunshine or that people are out in the warmth.

Stuff like that has me more negative about America than I ever have been. Our citizens are just plain stupid. She’s a teacher by the way.

If the steal stands, that ticket, or any other, will be irrelevant.

He’s a star, every Republican needs to do this to the corrupt media. Chuck Todd got his ad now this Lefty gal got hers. Every republican needs to understand the press is the enemy, take them on.

A lot of mask wearers are now emotionally attached to masks. They’ve spent many months BELIEVING in masks. To admit the truth would be to admit they’ve been stupid. Or gullible. California’s exploding cases with masks everywhere? Just means they are not masking hard enough! Or that they take their masks off when they get home, and THEN catch it!

I’d swear a lot of mask wearers are so emotionally dependent on masks as their magic talisman that they will NEVER stop wearing them! Flu, you know. Or colds. Or TB. Can’t be too careful.

They are addicted to fear. And to government control of their lives.

Agree on both points.

We’ve lived here many many years and he is the best Governor evah!

My brother and brother in law both moved to Florida in the 70s and I've been visiting FL since the early 70s.

I have many friends and a few relatives living in FL and they all love Ron D.

He is all business and common sense.

The rule of law.

Just think. Broward County almost helped elect that bi-sexual, meth head Gillum when they kept counting votes back in 2018. Thankfully, they got rid of the Superintendent of Elections, and Florida’s 2020 vote was uneventful.

Anyone coming from a NE city needs to be kept out.

We have a lot of brethren in upstate NY and central PA who can flee their liberal governments and make FL stronger.

I moved to Orlando from the Philly burbs 3 months ago. Convinced one of my like-minded coworkers to escape NJ for the Tampa area.
