Donald Trump made a call to the Georgia Secretary of State the other day.
That's where the agreement about everything ends.
Right on cue, democrats are once again in the same ditch they've been in for the last four years, i.e. making a crime out of nothing.
State and federal officials have called for investigations into whether President Trump violated election laws — or possibly committed other crimes — in his Saturday phone call to Georgia’s secretary of state. That's nonsense. Both sides had lawyers present. A closer examination reveals something completely different.A recording of the one-hour call was released Sunday by the Washington Post. The president is heard pressuring Brad Raffensperger, a Republican, to “find 11,780 votes” that would put him in the lead over President-elect Joe Biden in Georgia, which has already certified its results.
Trump also threatens Raffensperger with the possibility of criminal charges unless he comes up with the votes to overturn the election results.
Trump:
"We just want the truth. Let the truth come out"Did someone say vote analysis?
Trump Team asks GA's office to can go over the data together to see why their illegal vote analyses are different. GA Sec. of State's office says they're not sure if they can share the data President Trump responds (rhetorically): "...but you can have a phony election?More intrigue
Team Trump (lawyer): says he requested (6 times) for the GA state department's "internal numbers" Team Raffensperger (lawyer): "there are things under law we are not allowed to give out"Team Trump claims to have hard evidence:
Team Trump (lawyer): explains how they have "hard numbers" showing 24,000+ illegal votes & that the've checked these numbers with 3+ different experts & chartered accountants He then makes a manifestly reasonable request for both sides to sit down & go over the numbers together.Team Trump then asks about ballot stuffing, ballot shredding and ballot machines being moved.
Raffensberger's lawyers deny all of it.
Thing is, when the GA SoS says he can’t share information from a public election something is very wrong.

I only listened to a few minutes of this phone call.
I can tell 100% by the tone of his voice, that Trump was setting him up for a BIG FALL. It was the guy’s last chance to save his a## by trying to tell the truth.
Can’t wait to see how it ends, but would have been so much easier for everyone, had the guy just been more cooperative and helpful, not me mention, TRY TO UPHOLD THE LAW and have some INTEGERITY.
Believe this. Don’t believe that China receipt thingy though. /Sarc
He should not have been speaking during a settlement call. His lawyer should have been speaking. ANYTHING he said would have been interpreted incorrectly.
This is basic legal negotiations 101. I know he is the president—but in this case he was a party to the lawsuit.
I know people here don’t want to be objective—and I get it. Just ask anyone who has ever been in settlement discussions whether their lawyer lets them ramble on in the talks. It simply doesn’t happen.
In a lawsuit case, he should not have said ANYTHING.
I think you can add Anthony Weiner’s laptop to your list. Didn’t the FBI sandbag that case too?
The President's tone often sounds like he's saying, "Are you sure you want to say that?"
She’s been banned from FR. /eyeroll
Thanks. I love it when people complaining about typos make a typo! :)
Happy New Year!
Yes it is, and you have no right to tell someone else they need a job when you don’t have one yourself.
1-4. All of the above.
I heard a good chunk of the call and don’t think Trump did anything close to what the other side is saying he did.
Worst I can hang on him is that he was personally insulting to the SoS.
Who deserved it.
You think this IS somebody's click farm?

Thing is, when the GA SoS says he can’t share information from a public election something is very wrong.
**************
So...its public information about a public process that was paid for with public funds. But you can’t see it. By that logic the public is not entitled to know anything that goes on inside their government.
He specifically said that he believes he won Georgia by a huge margin (like 100K or more) and he only needs that many (11K+) to be shown to be fraudulent - the other votes are superfluous.
The SOS was absolutely like the press and the left in basically saying Trump's numbers were "debunked" without ever even showing any info to back up that claim. Trump was rattling off specific numbers left and right of different fraudulent vote categories. Then when talking about the voting dead the GA SOS says with a straight voice that they only found 2 dead voters in the whole state of Georgia. An absolute impossibility.
“Top men”
There are about 4 more sentences and not a word suggesting what is "very wrong".
You're welcome.
It is? That's news to me, and I practiced law for 42 years. Maybe you can cite the statute that makes it a crime?
