Actually, it would be better if they hacked it such that one R candidate wins with 100% of the vote and one D candidate wins with 100%.

That way, the good guys can say they wanted to prove how easy it is to hack the vote and they did their hacking in a fair and bipartisan way.

Yeah, the problem is that you’re going to have to break into on precinct tree, probably after they report most votes so they don’t notice, alter THAT vote, and then change all the passwords to different 256-bit encryption passwords so they would take years to break.

Then break the connection. They could try to non-report that precinct, so you’d have to do it right when the group was about to report. It would show up on the TV and people would see it, while the voting people scrambled to try to find which precinct it came from.

You could do it through a burner phone hotspot and a VPN, and it would take QUITE a bit of work to track down where it all came from it the person bought the phone with cash and used a cash-bought laptop off craigslist to finagle it.

Either way, a couple of precincts attacked like that would make a huge impression if their numbers made it to TV.
