Mixed feelings on this. (1) Better late than never. BUT (2) Yeah, why did Cruz wait so long? I hate to be cynical, but I just kinda wonder if, at this point, it’s less about actually affecting the ‘20 outcome and more about Cruz posturing as having been on the right side... in anticipation of mounting another run of his own in ‘24.

“...why did Cruz wait so long...”

Maybe because he is a coward and despite his supposed red, white and blue stripes, he is more concerned about his Senate seat until he got the low-down on verifiable truth from Trump. Now he’s onboard.

The dude is a douche and a turd.

I think that they waited so long because they thought that the voters would move on.

When it finally became clear that we are not going to roll over this time, that we will not give up, that we will not give in, that we continue to pressure them to do their duty, they decided to stand up.

I think it took pressure from thousands of constituents to continue to push that made them decide that they could not sit this one out.

What so long for what? Has anyone proposed this solution before now? Until now we thought there might be one senator elect and one senator willing to object.

Cruz should consider a run in 2024.
