On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Velshi,” House Majority Senior Whip Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) said that Democrats will vote to increase direct payments to $2,000 on Monday, and believes that the vote will pass in the House.

I must admit post WWII through 66 was a great time to grow up in and around Detroit. Suburbs being built, malls, city vibrant on all of the major thoroughfares, parks, pools, schools, friends, sports, banks, restaurants, stores, movie theaters (great ones downtown), auto factories, MOTOWN, Cobo, Tiger Stadium, Olympia....all of it. We...had...it...all. ANY Detroit old-timer can verify what I am saying.

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) the Senate Republican Policy Committee Chairman, said today that a $1,400 increase would not get the 60 votes required to pass the bill in the Senate.

The GOP-E is getting cheap with 10 days before the Georgia runoffs. STUPID. If/when the Democrats take back the Senate, 60 votes will be voted into the trash bin, and they will pass whatever the hell they want...with a laughting Kamala casting the deciding vote, again and again -- and Roy Blunt won't be able to stop it. If Loeffler loses in Louisiana, it's no big hurt for her. Her personal net worth is more than $500 million. A loss will free her up to make even more money and get even richer. They're all multi-millionaires in the Senate and their lives and concerns are far removed from the vast majority of Americans. Millions of ordinary citizens have seen their savings and businesses destroyed by these crushing lockdowns these past nine months, and there's no end in sight. At this point it's just political theater. Mitch and the rest are sticking their tongues out at us, the hoi polloi, the peasants, who will continue to vote for them because they're slightly less marxist than the Democrats.
