Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell now finds himself in the hot seat as Democrats begin rallying behind President Donald Trump's efforts to more than double the direct payment checks Congress secured in the just-passed coronavirus relief bill, leaving the fate of the aid package in limbo.

During remarks Tuesday night, Trump signaled he would not sign the bill, which was passed with overwhelming support late Monday, unless Congress included $2,000 direct checks to Americans, a proposal that flies in the face of the demands made by many Senate Republicans, some of whom had a tough time swallowing the $600 checks currently in the bill.

The aid package is tied to a large government funding bill that must be passed by Monday night. Yet as Congress stares down a looming government shutdown if Trump does not sign the bill, McConnell has so far been silent.

I just heard on the Commentary podcast that he originally had wanted $2000 checks but that his own staffers talked him out of it.

think this through. AOC, pelosi, and schumer are all happy about this.

something has to be drastically wrong with what we’re walking into.

If your talking about Trump you are a flaming moron. Trump, and the 6 GOP Senators are the only ones standing up for America.

They'd have to write a bill with no other strings. No aid to foreigners, no payments to illegal immigrants (aka beaners), no money to Pakistan, butterfly studies, and no pork in general.

The original...

~$200 billion —> US citizens + illegal aliens
~$700 billion —> foreign nations, liberal think tanks, and garbage ‘research’

~$900 billion

Nonsense. President Trump is saying what every conservative should be saying. Why are we handing out billions of dollars to foreign countries instead of spending money here in the United States to help our fellow citizens suffering from the effects of the COVID-19 response?

Do you really think it is a good idea to give more than 1 Billion dollars to Egypt so that they can buy Russian military equipment?

How about more than 100 million dollars to buy cars in Africa?

Wouldn't it be better to cut spending overseas and provide more resources to rebuild our economy here?

Or would you rather pad the pockets of rich politicians and make sure that illegal aliens get bigger stimulus checks than unemployed Americans.

No, he’s showing McConnell that if you aren’t supporting the attempt to right the election fraud you’re getting f**ed in the a**.

Real Republicans won’t turn their backs on people who are hurting because of a** clown governors and mayors.

And he’s EXPOSING both sides by showing how easy it was to send money to the people instead of crap like Pakistan. He SHOULD have been doing this all along in 2020 and then even fraud couldn’t take him down. Instead he listened to the same jacka**es who cost him the election.

Perhaps $2,000 per census household address, subject to landlord lien upon payment of a $10 lien fee by credit card.

AOC, pelosi, and schumer are all happy about this.

Don't be fooled. They are pretending they didn't hear the part about cutting wasteful pro leftist spending which was also a part of President Trump's remarks.

You've got it. You can almost hear Pelosi muttering under her breath..."Drats, foiled again!"
