The Senate acted swiftly Monday night, in a 91-7 vote, to approve more than $900 billion for coronavirus assistance, shortly after the House of Representatives passed the package. The aid comes after months of partisan sniping over what elements should be in a relief measure that virtually all lawmakers on Capitol Hill argued was long overdue.
The measure now heads to President Trump’s desk. In order to avoid a shutdown, since federal agencies would have run out of money at midnight Monday, a 7-day stop-gap spending bill was also approved to allow time to process the combined relief and annual funding bills.

Family members of illegal aliens are now eligible to get stimulus checks. That eligibility is retrotactive, so adults excluded last time could get up to $1800 now.

Amen! Veto this POS.
But... but... it includes $600 for the people paying for it. Wooo hoooo... new cell phones, new tvs.
Americans are too stupid to care.
$10 M for Gender study in a ARIBIC COUNTRY WHO TREAT WOMEN LIKE S, KILLS GAYS, GLORIFY PEDOPHILES.
It’s ridiculous. 5593 PAGES of fluff!
6,000 pages mega pork and kickbacks big time the good old boy club just warming up until Biden gives the the green light to go big time spending.
More freezers ordered.
Tell me again why I need to send $$$$ to “save the Senate”.
Let.It. Burn.
The bill actually includes new cars for government employees in foreign countries.
Most of them don’t even know about it. $600.00 isn’t going to create a lot of love for those scum. They really do not comprehend how we hate them.
I emailed President Trump and asked him to VETO and then I emailed my Senators and told them ( both R’s ) to NOT VOTE TO OVER RIDE.
The House and Senate leadership always love to cram these pork bills in before the holidays, because they know the congressmen are too weak to fight and just want to go home for vacation.
There’s only half enough gold (11.5 trillion dollars worth) ever mined, in the ENTIRE WORLD, to pay off the current national debt. Ridiculous!
It’s not to save the SENATE!!!! It’s to SAVE OUR COUNTRY. You want Pelosi, Schumer,Biden and all the misfits from the obozo and Clinton administration running/ruining the country???????
So, people who are thousands of dollars in arrears on their rent and facing eviction due to shutdowns get 600. And the wealthy get billions. That’s socialism for you.
And how would that look any different than this socialist wish list bill that most Republicans are tripping over themselves to vote for?
Because they are getting paid out of it also. We get 600 dollars. Why not just pass giving Americans a check and helping small businesses and unemployment. Why this other crap.
“ Why this other crap.”
Because politicians gain personally from this other crap,
The politicians who aren’t greedy sociopaths are greedy psychopaths.
Well, fortunately, the bill that’s been passed yet to be signed by the President isn’t going to change our country. It puts us further in debt but it is not going to make a socialist country out of the US...
If you like the restrictions on your life from the COVID 19 mess, you’ll love those people I named running the country!
Remember every appointment Biden makes has to be CONFIRMED by the Senate! Would you like to have Kamala breaking a tie vote in the Senate or have the majority to deny the appointments.
Yeah, if we don’t save the Senate, we’ll get near-unanimous approval of gigantic porkulus bills, amnesty for illegals, more outsourcing of American jobs, meaningless foreign adventurism, and infringements on our first and second amendment rights.
Oh, wait.
This $900 billion will be peanuts compared to the Biden spending, if he gets in and we lose the Senate.
$40 Trillion national debt coming soon, followed by general collapse.
